My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 120

Chapter 120

“We need to talk. Amelia…” Aiden said firmly, his grip tightening on her arms.

Cassia glared at him, confusion flashing across her eyes. What had gotten into him? What did he mean? Her mind instantly jumped to Arthur. Had he found out? Did he somehow know the truth that Arthur was his son? Fear and worry clouded her face before she quickly masked it with a hard stare.

“Let go of my arms,” she snapped, jerking her hands out of his grasp and giving him a deadly glare. People passing by in the hallway turned their heads, curious eyes landing on them.

“Stay away from me, Aiden,” she hissed through gritted teeth before storming away toward her office.

Aiden clenched his fists and followed close behind. Cassia entered her office, but before she could slam the door shut, he slipped in and closed it behind him.

“You can’t keep running from me, Amelia,” he said, voice rough with restrained anger. “How long did you plan on hiding the truth? Did you really think I wouldn’t find out?”

His tone made her skin crawl. She had protected this secret for years, and now the one thing she feared most was happening, Aiden discovering Arthur’s existence. No. She couldn’t let him know. She would deny it with her last breath if she had to.

“You must be out of your mind, Aiden,” she shot back coldly. “I don’t know what truth you’re talking about.” Her chin lifted defiantly, their eyes locking in a battle of wills.

Aiden scoffed, dragging a hand through his hair, frustration bleeding into every line of his face. He turned away for a moment, then spun back toward her, and Cassia’s chest tightened when she caught the glimmer of unshed tears in his eyes. Guilt pierced her despite herself.

“How could you do this to me?” His voice cracked. “You knew Etan wasn’t my son, and you kept it from me…”

Cassia’s lips parted slightly, relief flooding her. For a terrifying second, she thought he was speaking of Arthur. But no..this was about Sofia. About the betrayal he had just uncovered. Still, How had he found out? No one knew about the DNA test she had asked Nurse Mira to run.

“How could you keep this from me, Amelia?” His voice lowered, agged. “I was in your house all night, we even slept in the same bed, and you said nothing.”

Cassia’s eyes narrowed, fury rising in her veins. “Oh, don’t you dare put this on me, Aiden. I am not Sofia. You should be asking her that question, not me. She gave you a child that was yours, not me. I have nothing to do with that.”

Her voice grew sharper, trembling with restrained rage. “And let ne make something very clear… I’m a doctor. I was only doing my job. I don’t owe you any damn truths, Aiden. Not now, not ever.”

Her fists clenched so tightly that the veins on her forehead stood out. Aiden opened his mouth but stopped, silence choking him. He was angry, but Cassia’s fury blazed brighter, and deep down he hated it. He hated when she got this angry because it scared him. She was like a wounded lioness, fierce and untouchable, and he knew she was right. Even if she had known the truth, she owed him nothing.

“Amelia, I-”

“No. Don’t you dare say another word,” she cut him off, raising and sharply as it to silence him.

Her voice trembled with venom “You know what? You deserves. Every damn bit of it. This is karma Aiden. Karma for what you did to me and to my daughter, Eva And trust me this just the beginning

She turned toward the door, her heels clicking sharply against the floor, but just before leaving, she spun back with eyes full of ice.

Her voice was fierce, but her trembling hands betrayed her.

Aiden’s chest caved with heartbreak, but still he didn’t step aside Something flickered in his eyes, something Cassia couldn’t name. Then suddenly, he moved, his hand sliding around her waist, pulling her flush against him.

Cassia gasped, her breath hitching at the contact. The heat of his touch seared through her gown, jolting her wolf awake inside her. For a moment, it was as if the world had stopped spinning, leaving only the two of them suspended in that storm of tension.

“How about this?” Aiden murmured, voice low, desperate. His eyes lingered between hers and her lips. His breath fanned across her skin, and Cassia’s heart thudded violently against herbs.

“Nothing. I feel nothing…” she whispered hoarsely, though her pulse betrayed her.

Aiden’s gaze hardened, piercing into her emerald eyes as though trying to strip away her lies. His chest rose and fell rapidly. his hunger clear. He looked at her as though she was the only thing that could keep him alive. As if he was starving.

As if she were the only thing that could satisfy his hunger. He craved her… God, he craved her. He wanted her. He needed her. He loved her, and the madness of it scorched through his veins. He burned for her, wild and uncontrollable Every breath without her felt shallow, every second unbearable. His hands trembled as he pulled her closer to himself She gasped. the sound soft and sharp. Her soft gasp only shattered the last thead of his restraint.

“Then why,” his voice cracked, raw, “do your eyes tells me something your mouth denies?”

Cassia’s lips trembled. Her chest rose in ragged breaths, her puls skittering willly beneath her skin. His face hovered inches from hers, his breath fanning warm across her cheek.

For a heartbeat, he had almost kissed her but he didn’t. He linged, eyes locked on her trembling mouth, torturing them both with the closeness. Her hands curled against his chest, caught between shoving him away and pulling him closer. The scent of him, the heat of him, unraveled her defenses piece by ce
