My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 122

Chapter 122

Meanwhile, Aiden stood outside the door to Cassia’s office, his brows drawn tight with worry. A storm of confusion clouded his thoughts. He had seen it… the sudden flash of claws sprouting from her fingers, the fierce glow in her eyes.

Does this mean… the kiss restored her wolf? The thought gnawed at him, unsettling, and bewildering.

But what unsettled him more was the look she had given him. The anger in her eyes. The way she had spat her words. commanding him to leave as though he were the last person she ever wanted near her..even after the fiery kiss they had shared.

He couldn’t tell if she hated him or hated herself for letting him so close. Had she even liked the kiss? Or had it truly been nothing more than an invasion to her? The uncertainty tore at him.

Aiden exhaled shakily, pressing his palm against the wall beside him. He knew he had crossed a line, knew he should have held himself back. She was married…goddess, married to Damien. He had told himself again and again to respect that boundary, but the moment his lips touched hers, restraint had shattered.

Every fiber of him had been burning to taste her, to claim her. It wasn’t just desire, it was like her entire being was calling him, pulling him in against his will. Worse, he had caught the faintest trace of her arousal, the intoxicating scent that nearly drove him mad. For a terrifying heartbeat, he had wanted to lose control completely. He wanted to lift her into his arms. pin her against the wall, drown himself in her until nothing else existed.

He clenched his fists. What the hell is wrong with me? That path was madness. A sin. An abomination.

But the kiss… the kiss had been magic. It had seared through him consuming him whole. For the first time since he had rejected her…since she had accepted it, he felt a piece of his wolf mend. Something had changed within him, something profound, though he couldn’t name it.

His eyes closed, and instantly her image filled him. Amelia’s soft moan when his tongue slid into her mouth. The gasp she gave when his hand pressed against her back. The way her body melted against his, surrendering even if her words later denied it. She had said she felt nothing, but Aiden knew that was a lie.

The spark, the jolt of electricity, it had been undeniable.

“Aiden. Aiden!”

A voice snapped him back. Aiden’s head jerked up to find James standing beside him, a hand on his arm.

“Please don’t tell me you were daydreaming. I’ve been calling your name for two minutes,” James muttered, his brows raised.

Aiden sighed and rubbed a hand over his face.

“Where have you been?” James asked, folding his arms.

“I was with Amelia…” Aiden admitted, his lips twitching.

James’ eyes widened. He opened his mouth to speak, closed it, then sighed. “Of course. Why didn’t I think of that? That explains why you look so damn nervous. And… holy hell, Aiden, our lips are swollen. Red as tire. Don’t tell me you-

“Yes,” Aiden cut in, voice low. “It’s exactly what you’re thinking. kissed her. Is it that obvious?”

“What?! You did what?” James hissed, stepping back in shock.

“I couldn’t stop myself… and she kissed me back.”

“Oh, goddess.” James turned, pacing. “No. Nope. I don’t need to hear any more of this insanity.”

But Aiden followed after him.

“James, you should’ve seen it. The way she melted into my arms. The way she trembled. Don’t tell me she feels nothing for me…she’s lying, I know she is.”

James stopped abruptly, staring at him like he had lost his mind.

“Are you crazy, Aiden?”

James rubbed his temples. “Yeah, it’s a good thing. But the kiss wasn’t. That was a terrible idea.”

“I realized that after she told me to get out. She was furious.” Aidon’s jaw tightened.

James scoffed. “Congratulations. You’ve managed to piss her off ven more. Good luck fixing that.”

Aiden let out a rough sigh as they walked down the hall together

“How did you even notice I kissed her?” Aiden asked suddenly, ecing James. “And why the hell were your eyes on my lips? Don’t tell me you’re-”

“Seriously, Aiden?” James rolled his eyes. “Your lips are attached your face. I was staring at your face.”

“You could’ve stared at my eyes instead.”

James groaned. “Unbelievable.”

Then his expression hardened. “By the way, today is the last day of Sofia’s trial. The judgment begins in two hours. And you’re the one who has to deliver the verdict.”

At the sound of Sofia’s name, Aiden’s face soured instantly. His chest tightened with bitter resolve.

Today wasn’t just any day. Today was the day he finally passed judgment.

Today, she dies.
