My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 176

Chapter 176

“You will marry that girl, Rachel-or Amelia’s family dies,” Alpha Alaric said coldly.

Aiden’s eyes widened, disbelief flashing across his face. “What?” The word escaped him before he could stop it.

Alaric smirked slightly, the expression cruel and calm. “I know how much you love Amelia,” he said, voice smooth as venom. “You wouldn’t want her family to die knowing you could’ve prevented it. Marry Rachel, and she gets her family back.”

Aiden’s jaw clenched. His chest rose and fell sharply as anger brewed deep inside him. “Dad, I can’t marry her. I don’t even know who she is, or if she’s-”

“She’s nothing like Sofia,” Alaric cut in sharply, raising a brow. “Just marry her. That’s all you have to do.”

Aiden stared at his father for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Disappointment flickered across his eyes, followed by the slow rise of heartbreak and rage. He wanted to argue, to shout-but Amelia’s face flashed in his mind. Her tears. Her trembling hands. Her voice breaking when she said she needed her family.

He swallowed hard. If this was the only way to bring them back to her, then he would bear it. Even if it shattered him completely.

“Fine,” Aiden said quietly, his voice hoarse. “I’ll marry her.”

A small, triumphant smile tugged at Alaric’s lips. He placed a hand on Aiden’s shoulder, but Aiden immediately shoved it off, his glare burning with pure hatred.

“You can hate me

all you want,” Alaric muttered, “but one day, you’ll realize I’m doing all this to make you happy.”

Aiden said nothing. His silence spoke louder than any curse could.

“I’ll have my men release them,” Alaric continued, pulling out his phone and tapping a few buttons. “I’ll send you the address where you’ll meet them.”

Aiden’s gaze hardened. Without another word, he turned and strode out of the ward, slamming the door behind him.

The moment he left, Luna Donna turned toward her husband, her eyes filled with fear. “Do they know you were the one who ordered the kidnapping?”

“No,” Alaric replied simply. “They don’t.”

Donna nodded, relief flickering faintly in her features. “Thank the Goddess,” she whispered. “At least Aiden didn’t call the Blood Watch on you.”

For a moment, silence lingered between them-heavy, fragile. Then Donna’s voice trembled softly. “Did you notice something about Aiden?”

Alaric frowned. “What?”

“He looked pale,” she said, concern wrinkling her brow. “His eye. they were bloodshot, almost white. Like he’s short on blood, or maybe-maybe I’m overthinking.”

“He’s fine, Donna,” Alaric said with a wave of his hand. “You’re just worrying too much. He’s exhausted, that’s all. He’s been driving himself mad over Amelia and her family.”

Donna sighed quietly, but the worry didn’t leave her face. “Do you think he’ll ever forgive me? Love me again the way he used to?”

Alaric’s lips curved slightly. “He’ll come around. He doesn’t have much of a choice.”

She managed a weak smile. “Why didn’t you tell him the truth earlier? He could’ve killed you, Alaric.”

All that mattered was Amelia. And her family.

He dropped the handkerchief beside him, shoved the key into the ignition, and drove off toward the location his father had sent.

The journey was silent except for the hum of the engine and the sound of his shallow breathing. When he finally stopped, it was in the middle of nowhere…an empty stretch of road surrounded by dark, whispering trees and the faint cries of nocturnal creatures.

Aiden stepped out of the car, his boots crunching on gravel. He canned the area-nothing but shadows and the scent of damp earth.

“Damn it,” he muttered under his breath. Maybe his father had d again.

He turned to head back into the car-but stopped when the low mble of an engine echoed down the road.

Headlights sliced through the road. A black SUV rolled to a stop front of him. Aiden tensed, his wolf alert beneath his skin.

A man stepped out of the driver’s side, holding a gun. He walked to the back and opened the rear door.

Aiden’s heart froze as he watched Beta Greg step out, blinking under the dim light. He turned and helped his daughter down from the car. Then, with trembling arms, he carried his unconscious wife out, cradling her gently against his chest.

They hadn’t noticed him yet-until Beta Greg turned. Their eyes met.

Time stopped.

Aiden’s breath caught in his throat. Beta Greg’s expression shifted from confusion to shock, then to something deeper- recognition, disbelief, pain.
