My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 192

Chapter 192

“W… what are you doing here?” Damien asked, his fists tightening anger surging through his veins. His eyes burned with a fury he didn’t bother to hide.

Aiden met his glare with calm defiance. “The same thing you’re doing here-trying to find Amelia.” His tone was steady, but his jaw flexed.

Damien scoffed. “Amelia isn’t missing. She doesn’t need you to find her. She’s my fiancée, my soon-to-be wife. So stay the hell away from my family’s affairs.”

Aiden’s brows rose slightly. “Damien, this is my pack. Amelia being missing is my responsibility as Alpha. And you-” his gaze hardened, “-you’re not married to her yet. Who knows? She might change her mind before that even happens.”

Damien’s body stiffened, his muscles coiling like he was ready to strike.

Aiden tilted his head slightly, his voice dropping lower. “Your father-in-law is watching. You wouldn’t want him getting the wrong impression of you before he even gets to know you, would you?”

Damien’s eyes flicked toward Beta Greg, who was silently watching them. His fist unclenched slowly, but his glare at Aiden could have cut glass.

“Damien, everyone just wants to find Amelia. Nothing else,” James intervened quickly, his voice calm but firm.

Damien’s glare shifted from Aiden to James, then he exhaled sharply and turned toward Beta Greg and Gloria.

“I’m sorry for your loss, Beta Greg,” he said, his tone softening. “We’ll find Amelia and bring her back. Then we can all go home together.”

Greg nodded weakly, his grief still visible in his eyes.

Aiden watched the exchange in silence, a storm raging quietly within him. Jealousy twisted in his chest like a knife. That should have been him standing there, speaking to Greg as a son-in-law, not Damien. If only he hadn’t destroyed what he had with Amelia.

He tore his gaze away and turned to leave, James trailing close behind.

As they walked through the hallway, James glanced sideways at m. “Don’t tell me you’re jealous of Damien.”

Aiden snorted under his breath. “What? No. I’m not.” He shrugged, his voice clipped. “Who knows-Amelia might not even marry him.”

James gave a short laugh. “Is that what you tell yourself to soothe your broken heart because she chose him?”

Aiden didn’t answer. He just tightened his jaw and kept walking, the weight of James’s words pressing hard against his chest.

When they reached the parking garage, James leaned against his car. “We should split up. Whoever finds her first calls the other.”

Aiden nodded silently.

They both entered their separate cars. Aiden gripped his steering wheel until his knuckles turned white. The truth gnawed at him, sharp and bitter. Maybe James was right-he was jealous. Jealous because Amelia had chosen Damien.

Through his windshield, he caught sight of Damien striding out of the hospital, his expression grim as he entered his car and drove off. James followed soon after, leaving Aiden alone in he dim garage.

He leaned back in his seat and sighed. “Amelia…. where are you?” he whispered.

Red Moon Pack was vast…hundreds of acres of land, forest, and valleys. If someone wanted to disappear here, they could.

He closed his eyes briefly, trying to focus, to feel her presence the way his wolf always could. His pulse quickened, and when he opened his eyes again, they glowed red for a heartbeat…then fickered back to brown.

He started the engine and drove off, guided by instinct more than reason.

The road ahead grew lonelier the further he went, flanked by nothing but trees and dark undergrowth. He frowned. This wasn’t the direction he should have been heading. Amelia would never come here. Still, something pulled him forward.

Then-his instincts roared.

He slammed the brakes. The tires screeched against the dirt. His heart thudded as his gaze landed on a familiar black car parked haphazardly by the roadside. The door was open. It was Amelia’s.

“Amelia…” he muttered, jumping out of his vehicle.

He circled the car, scanning the area. No one. His stomach dropped. Then, something on the ground caught his eye-a dark stain glistening faintly under the pale light.

He shoved the rogue aside but dragged her with him until they ached the hut. The air inside was heavy with the smell of blood.

And there on the ground-lay Amelia.

Her clothes were soaked crimson, her skin pale. For a heartbeat. Aiden couldn’t move. The sight rooted him to the spot.

“Amelia…” His voice broke as he dropped the rogue and rushed her. He knelt, brushing her blood-matted hair away from her face. Her skin was cold, her pulse faint…but there. No injuries were seen on her body.

Relief and panic crashed through him at once.

He turned sharply at the sound of movement-the rogue was running. He could have gone after her, but it didn’t matter anymore. The only thing that mattered was the woman in his arms.

He slid his arms beneath her body, lifting her gently against his chest. Her limp form pressed against him, her blood staining his shirt.

“I’ve got you,” he murmured.

He carried her out of the hut, his expression set with determination.

When he reached his car, he laid her carefully across the back seat. He paused for a moment, staring at her face, the rise and fall of her chest barely visible.

He’d meant to take her to her family…but one look at her fragile state changed everything.

He gripped the steering wheel, his decision final. “No. Not back to them.”

He started the engine, his eyes hardening.

“I’m taking you with me, Amelia. To my penthouse downtown.”

And with that, he sped off into the night.
