My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 195

Chapter 195

Aiden’s car screeched to a halt in front of the penthouse. The night was deep, silent, and broken only by the low hum of the engine and the faint rustle of leaves in the wind. He stepped out wiftly, his jaw tight, the world around him a blur as he rounded the car and opened the passenger door.

Amelia lay there, unconscious, her head resting to one side. His Heart clenched painfully at the sight of her pale face, tear- streaked even in sleep. Without thinking, he slipped his arms beneath her and lifted her gently, holding her against his chest like something fragile that might shatter with one wrong move. Her scent, so soft, familiar, and haunting-brushed against him, and for a moment, he closed his eyes, letting it ground him

He knew she’d be furious when she woke and realized he’d brought her here, to his pent house. But he couldn’t care less. Not tonight.

Inside, he switched on the lights. The warm glow illuminated the space, he laid her carefully on the bed. He pulled the duvet up over her, tucking her in as if that simple act could protect her from everything that haunted her.

For a long moment, Aiden just sat beside her, his elbows on his knees, eyes fixed on her face. Even asleep, she looked troubled her brows faintly knitted, lips parted as if she was whispering something only her dreams could hear. His chest tightened painfully. What kind of dreams tormented her now?

He reached out almost without realizing it, brushing a stray strand of hair from her cheek. His fingers lingered, just a heartbeat too long, tracing the delicate line of her jaw. His gaze dropped to her lashes, the soft curve of her nose, and finally. those lips… small, perfect, flushed like the faintest red wine. His throat went dry. A spark of heat ran down his spine, wild and unwelcome. His wolf stirred beneath his skin, a low growl rumbling at the edge of his control.

He tore his gaze away, jaw tightening as he exhaled through his nose. One more second, and he didn’t trust himself to stop.

Aiden stood abruptly, pulling his phone from his pocket. He needed to call James, to tell him he’d found her, but the screen blinked black. Dead. He hissed under his breath and dropped it onto the table, running a hand through his hair. Everything tonight was spiraling beyond reason.

His eyes flicked back to Amelia. How had she ended up unconscious in the middle of the woods? And the rogue… that female

rogue

who had seen. What the hell was she doing inside his borders? The small hut where he found the Amelia looked lived in, as though the rogue had been nesting there for weeks. How had no one noticed?

His thoughts tangled, confusion and unease gnawing at him, until a sharp sting shot up his arm. He winced. The wound. He’d nearly forgotten. It burned like fire now, an angry throb beneath his skin.

He stripped off his shirt and headed for the bathroom, letting the cold water from the shower pound against his back. The sting of it grounded him, cooled the restless chaos in his chest. When he was done, he wrapped a towel around his waist and stepped before the mirror. His reflection stared back at him, tired eyes, damp hair clinging to his forehead, blood still seeping faintly through the bandage on his arm.

He reached out to touch it, but the sharp pain made him recoilstantly. He frowned. It wasn’t healing properly. His wolf should’ve been able to handle this kind of wound, but instead, it was festering…almost as if it resisted healing.

A low groan made him turn. Amelia.

Aiden froze, heart hammering in his chest. He glanced at her reflection in the mirror…her body shifting beneath the covers, her hand twitching slightly before she stirred awake.

He moved quickly, grabbing a shirt from the wardrobe and pulling it over his head, followed by a pair of trousers. Just as he finished buttoning them, Amelia sat up fully, her hair tousled, eyes blinking against the soft light.

Her confusion was immediate. Her gaze darted around the room to the walls, the furniture, and finally, to him.

“Amelia,” Aiden said softly, stepping forward. “You’re awake.”

Her eyes snapped into focus. And the moment she recognized hn, she flinched as if struck. She stumbled off the bed, pressing a hand to her chest.

“What—what am I doing here?” she stammered, voice cracking. Where’s my son? Where’s Arthur? I need to get back to him -and my mother-and you…” She backed away, panic flickering in her eyes. “Stay away from me!”

Aiden froze, guilt and helplessness twisting inside him. He opened his mouth to speak, but the words came out heavy, fragile.

“Amelia… your mom…she’s gone. Don’t you remember?”

The silence that followed was deafening.

Her sobs came harder now, broken and uncontrollable.

When she didn’t pull away again, Aiden reached for her and gently drew her against his chest. She struggled, pounding her fists weakly against him.

“Let me go!” she cried. “You’re just saying that to make me feel letter-”

“Amelia,” he whispered against her hair, “I’m sorry. I’m so damn sorry…”

She hit him again….her hand striking the sore spot on his arm…at he flinched, biting back a groan. Pain shot through him like fire, but he didn’t care. He stood still, holding her tighter, letting her grief crash against him like waves.

“Shh… it’s okay. You’re not alone anymore,” he murmured, his voice breaking as he pressed his chin against the top of her head.

Slowly, her fists stilled. Her trembling subsided into silent tears.

“I didn’t even get to say goodbye to her,” she whispered hoarsely I promised her she’d meet Arthur. I told her she’d see her grandson, but she never did. My son never met the woman I love most…”

Her voice cracked again, and she lifted her eyes to his-red, tear streaked, full of anguish.

“I promised her she’d meet Damien… that she’d meet Alpha Seraphina. I told her I finally had two mothers. And now-” her voice faltered, “-I didn’t even say goodbye.”

Aiden’s throat tightened painfully. He reached up, brushing her tears with his thumb, his own eyes glistening.

He wanted to tell her she wasn’t alone… that he’d help her carry the weight…but the words wouldn’t come. They both stood there, broken souls in the quiet of the night, bound by pain neither of them could undo.
