My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 212

“What do you mean?” Aiden asked, his voice low as his eyes moved from the council members to his father. His pulse fluttered under his skin, waiting…dreading…whatever was coming next.

“The True Alpha… she’s back,” Alpha Alaric said quietly. “We believe she’s alive.”

Aiden’s brows pulled together. The words didn’t make sense. True Alpha? He knew the legend…everyone did…but it was an old story used by the elders to frighten children into behaving. Nothing more.

“What True Alpha? That’s a myth,” he said, his tone firm, confused.

Alpha Alaric shook his head slowly. “It’s not a myth. The last one had to be killed in a fire.”

Aiden stared at him, then at the council members, feeling the air in the room tighten around him.

“We have important issues…like the rogue living in our pack for weeks. And you’re all talking about some ancient legend?” He exhaled sharply. “Even if she was real, the last True Alpha was a good leader. I don’t see the problem.”

One of the council members straightened in his chair, eyes narrowing. “I don’t think you know the full story of the True Alpha.”

Aiden’s gaze snapped to him, irritation sharpening his features. “What full story?” He turned back to his father, who inhaled deeply before speaking.

“She’s an abomination.” Alpha Alaric’s voice was grim, thick with old fear. “A curse that needed to be erased. Every drop of her blood is poison. Her claws are the deadliest…one scratch is enough to doom anyone.”

Aiden’s chest tightened.

“At first,” Alaric continued, “it appears as a sore that refuses to heal. Then it releases a golden mist… and finally, black blood and death. She is danger incarnate. And she must be destroyed before she destroys us.”

Aiden swallowed hard…into nothing. His mind flashed to the sore on his arm. The way it refused to heal. The strange, golden shimmer. The black blood.

Exactly as his father described.

His heartbeat slammed against his ribs.

Amelia… is Amelia the True Alpha?

He blinked, his breath catching. His stomach twisted violently as the thought pierced through him.

“And how do you even know the True Alpha is in Red Moon Pack?” he asked, trying to sound calm. “And why are you so certain it’s a female?”

“They’ve always been female,” one council member said immediately. “And the howl from nights ago…it was her. The True Alpha. But I don’t believe she has fully transitioned yet. Her wolf is still awakening. If she completes the transition before we find her…” He paused, dread flickering in his eyes. “It will be the end of us all.”

“That’s why we must find her,” Alpha Alaric added, “and get rid of her before her wolf awakens fully.”

Aiden took a step back, shaking his head. His breath trembled.

“This is nonsense. All of it. The True Alpha is a myth…it doesn’t exist,” he said sharply and before anyone could respond, he turned and stormed out of the study.

He made his way downstairs, the air suffocating. His thoughts were spinning, every piece slamming into him too fast, too hard.

He spotted Racheal in the dining room, gently setting out plates.

“Alpha Aiden, I prepared breakfast,” she said softly, offering him a small smile.

But Aiden walked past her without a word. His mind couldn’t hold anything that wasn’t the council’s revelation… or Amelia.

He stepped outside and immediately saw James by his car, keys in hand, about to get in.

“Aiden…” James called when he noticed his expression. He instantly knew something was wrong. Terribly wrong.

“Aiden—”

“Give me your car keys,” Aiden said, cutting him off, voice rough with urgency.

James froze, swallowing hard. This wasn’t the time to argue. He handed them over silently.

Aiden climbed into the car, started the engine, and sped off without another word.

It didn’t make sense.

Unless… she had never known what she truly was.

He swallowed hard, staring through the windshield but seeing nothing.

How his Luna had become an Alpha after he rejected her was a mystery he might never understand.

But one thing was certain:

He had failed her once.

He would not fail her again.

He needed to see her. He needed to warn her. He needed to protect her…against the council, against his father, against everyone.

He started the car again.

He wanted to go straight to her apartment, but he knew Damien would be there, and he didn’t want a fight. Not now. Not when Amelia’s life hung in the balance.

So he took a sharp turn and headed toward the one place Amelia always returned to.

The hospital.

He would wait there.

And when she arrived…

He would tell her everything.
