My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart (Oriana) novel Chapter 103

**He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**

Lily’s eyes shimmered with unshed tears, a tumultuous blend of fury and apprehension swirling within her. “Yes, it’s not our responsibility!” she exclaimed, her voice trembling.

They had come here with the simple intention of enjoying a delightful meal, a moment of respite from their daily lives, only to find themselves facing an overwhelming loss.

They were not naive; there was no way they would accept this injustice!

As the evening progressed, Luna stood by, waving goodbye to Cormac and Bramwell after their satisfying meal, her heart lighter than before. The restaurant was slowly emptying, with only a few tables occupied by lingering guests.

Suddenly, Cormac’s gaze was drawn to a small gathering near the booth area, his brow furrowing in confusion. “Why does that woman look so familiar?” he mused, squinting as he tried to place her. “She resembles the new student that William has taken under his wing… what was her name again?”

At this, the drowsy Bramwell, who had been lost in his thoughts, suddenly snapped to attention, his senses sharpening as if jolted awake by a bolt of electricity.

Not just familiar—wasn’t that the insufferable girl? She looked like a ghost from the past, haunting him with memories he would rather forget!

Bramwell’s heart raced. He had invested considerable time and effort to ensure he left a positive impression on Cormac for Luna’s sake, hoping to win his favor. If Cormac were to associate Oriana with the Sterling family’s poor morals, all his painstaking efforts would crumble to dust!

Luna cast a glance over her shoulder, noticing that Hunter was already handling the situation with a sense of authority. A sardonic smile crept onto her lips, but she quickly lowered her head, concealing her amusement. “That’s Oriana. The other one is William’s teaching assistant, Lily. It seems they came to the restaurant for a meal but are now unable to settle the bill.”

Bramwell, who was already battling a headache, felt his frustration boil over. He nearly ground his teeth into powder at the mere thought of it.

If it weren’t for Cormac’s presence, he would have unleashed a string of curses!

That wretched creature! She had squandered over a decade of the Sterling family’s nurturing. Just look at her now, engaging in every shameful and disgraceful act imaginable!

Fury bubbled within Bramwell, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “No money, yet she still carries herself like royalty. Is this the kind of place she can afford?”

Luna feigned concern, her brows knitting together. “I see the manager over there. Perhaps I should speak with Arthur and ask him to make an exception, or I could cover Oriana’s bill myself…”

“Absolutely not!” Bramwell interjected, his teeth clenched in irritation as he cut her off. “Using your connections for such people isn’t worth it!”

“But…”

Luna’s wide, helpless eyes conveyed her distress, as if she couldn’t bear to stand idly by while injustice unfolded before her.

Cormac, observing Luna’s willingness to help resolve the predicament, couldn’t help but regard her with newfound respect. Regardless of her past missteps, whether they stemmed from sincerity or pretense, she at least demonstrated a basic understanding of social propriety.

“Don’t get upset, Lily. It’s alright,” Oriana murmured, pulling her friend back and attempting to soothe her with a low voice.

“How can this be alright? I finally wanted to treat you to a celebration tonight, and look what’s happening instead. I… I’m so furious!”

Lily’s words spilled out, laced with anger and frustration, as her tears continued to fall.

Hunter, confident in his position with Luna as his ally, dismissed Lily’s outburst with a wave of his hand. “Our proprietor is quite busy and not someone who can be summoned at will. Moreover, if you two insist on dining and dashing, we will have to follow our policies.”

With that, Hunter gestured instructively. “Call the police. We’ll handle this through the proper channels. Also, blacklist them. They will no longer be welcome in our restaurant.”

At this declaration, Lily felt her world start to spin.

“No, don’t call the police!”

Jindiwood University maintained strict regulations over its students. If they acquired a police record, expulsion would be the inevitable consequence!

Bitterly sobbing, Lily rummaged through her wallet, desperation overtaking her. “Fine! You bullies! Thirteen thousand? I’ll pay, I’ll pay, alright?”
