My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart (Oriana) novel Chapter 152

**He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen – Chapter 152: A Warning**

Even Micah had never experienced such warmth and care at home. It was as if Noah was pulling every string he could to ensure that Oriana remained close to Micah, like a protective guardian watching over a precious treasure.

In the dimly lit room, there was only one expansive bed, its sheets neatly arranged, waiting for the day to unfold.

Chaoom. Oriana felt a knot of anxiety form in her stomach as she swallowed hard.

Just then, Micah emerged from the bathroom, his presence filling the space with an unexpected energy. The absence of a smart home system meant that the air felt thick with the lingering scent of soap and warmth. His shirt collar was slightly damp, and without a second thought, he reached for the buttons of his shirt, prepared to change into something more comfortable.

Dressed in a sleek black dress shirt, he was blissfully unaware that Oriana had not even noticed the wet patch. But when he began to unbutton his shirt, it startled her, sending her heart racing.

“Y-you’re taking a nap?” she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Micah paused mid-action, a flicker of realization crossing his face, and a teasing smile began to play at the corners of his lips.

With two buttons undone, he took slow, deliberate steps toward her, his long fingers moving toward the next button as if savoring the moment.

“I woke up early today. Aren’t you tired, Oriana?” he asked, his voice low and inviting.

“I am, but you don’t need to take off—Micah, why are you holding my hand?” Her heart raced as she felt the warmth of his grasp.

As the third button came undone, his shirt gaped open, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of his upper abs.

Oriana’s eyes widened, catching a flash of pale skin, and before she could gather her thoughts, Micah lifted her hand, pressing it against his chest.

She gasped, the damp fabric sending a jolt of electricity through her palm. Then, she heard his low, magnetic chuckle, and the realization of the situation washed over her like a wave.

Micah blinked playfully, feigning innocence. “My shirt’s wet, Oriana. What did you think I was doing?”

In an instant, her cheeks flamed crimson, embarrassment flooding her senses.

“I-I wasn’t thinking anything!” she exclaimed, flustered, her gaze darting everywhere but at him.

Micah reveled in her reaction, watching her shy glances with a growing grin that was both playful and mischievous.

“Then you should think a little more,” he murmured, his tone teasing yet layered with sincerity.

“Why?” Oriana asked, her mind swirling, caught in the moment.

“Because—”

Before she could finish her thought, his arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer. The air between them thickened, and before she could even process it, his lips brushed the corner of hers. His voice emerged soft, laced with amusement. “—because I still want to kiss you.”

At least Xander hadn’t outright refused her visit. That was a small victory in itself.

“How have you been settling into Jindiwood?” Xander asked casually, just as Luna had hoped he would.

She spoke sweetly, steering clear of any negativity, and soon enough, Xander was smiling with genuine ease, his earlier tension dissipating.

Xander sighed softly, a hint of relief in his tone. “I’m relieved to hear you’re doing well. It feels like I’ve fulfilled part of my duty to Niall and Rory. But God wasn’t kind to their real child.”

Seeing the sorrow etched across his face, Luna felt a pang of empathy and hurried to respond. “I’ve already asked my father to look into the people involved back then. I truly hope we can find her one day.”

“Good girl,” Xander said, nodding approvingly. “That’s very thoughtful of you.”

He paused for a moment, then added as if it was a casual afterthought, “I’ve heard from Soren that over the years, quite a few people who were helped by Niall have been asking around, wanting to repay his kindness. Luna, your adoptive father was a true hero. He gave his life for others and never sought reward. You must carry on his legacy. If any of those people ever come to you with money or favors, you must not accept a single thing. Do you understand? It would be shameful.”

Luna’s heart skipped a beat at his words. For a fleeting moment, she thought he might know something more than he was letting on.

But seeing that Xander wasn’t angry, she quickly calmed herself. The matter of reuniting with Leo had been kept very low-key, and she had warned everyone involved to maintain silence to avoid stirring gossip about Niall.

They were loyal; they wouldn’t betray her trust.

And Xander—despite still being influential even after stepping down—surely wouldn’t waste his energy investigating her.

After a quick mental calculation, Luna donned a reassuring smile. “Mr. Stone, I understand completely. I’ll remember your words and honor my father’s sacrifice.”
