My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart (Oriana) novel Chapter 169

**He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen 169**

Just as she prepared to voice her disagreement, the man before her, as if he had tapped into her very thoughts, broke the silence. “You know, it seems we’ve never captured a moment together in a photo.”

“Hm?” Oriana’s curiosity piqued, her attention swiftly diverted from her initial protest.

She blinked, momentarily caught off guard. “But we have—our wedding photos.”

“Ah, yes! How could I forget?” Micah replied, a hint of sheepishness coloring his tone. “Grandpa asked me for a photo today, but it completely slipped my mind.”

As he spoke, Micah’s long lashes lowered, casting a delicate shadow across his face, and for a fleeting moment, disappointment flickered in his eyes.

Oriana couldn’t help but smile softly. There was no way she could miss the subtle change in his demeanor.

“Since Mr. Caldwell is asking for one, should we take it now?” she suggested, her voice warm with encouragement.

Micah nodded, a spark of determination igniting in his gaze. “I’ll just wash my hands first.”

She followed him toward the sink, her mind racing with questions. “What does Mr. Caldwell need it for, anyway? Should we make it look formal, or do you think a more casual vibe would work?”

He paused, deep in thought, his brow furrowing slightly. “I think it should be a bit more intimate. You know, something that the relatives can appreciate.”

After a moment’s silence, he added with a touch of helplessness, “You know how Grandpa is—he’s always wanted me to settle down. Now that his wish has finally come true, I’m sure he’s eager to show off a bit.”

Just hearing Micah express that made Oriana envision Noah’s beaming, self-satisfied grin, and a deeper smile crept into the corners of her eyes. “Old folks really are like that. When I was a little girl, Grandma would parade my photos around the hospital, proudly declaring, ‘This is my granddaughter, Oriana.’”

“I know,” Micah replied, a knowing look in his eyes.

“Huh? You know?” Oriana’s eyes widened in surprise, her heart fluttering slightly at the thought.

Micah dried his hands, glancing back just in time to catch the lively spark in her expression. Her adorable surprise made it impossible for him to suppress a smile. “Yeah. My caregiver over there has seen your photos. People often say you’re a rare little beauty.”

Oriana froze, her cheeks igniting in a deep crimson hue that spread from her nose to her neck. The embarrassment washed over her like a tidal wave.

“Alright, I promise I won’t tease you anymore. Let’s just take the photo,” Micah said, wisely choosing to back off, knowing full well how sensitive his wife’s cheeks were to further teasing.

Once they settled back on the couch, Oriana patted her cheeks, attempting to calm the rush of warmth that had enveloped her.

“Look straight ahead, at twelve o’clock. When I say ‘smile,’ just give me your best smile,” she instructed, lifting her phone to initiate the shoot.

Yet, with both of them lacking any real experience in taking selfies, the results were stiff and awkward, lacking the natural ease they both hoped for.

“I think we’re sitting a bit too far apart. Let’s move closer together,” she suggested, trying to adjust their positioning.

“Uh, I blinked in this one. Let’s take it again,” Micah muttered, glancing at the screen with a frown.

“This one’s no good either; my smile looks weird,” Oriana added, frustration creeping into her voice.

Inside, Micah was a whirlpool of conflicting emotions, but he masked it with all his strength, refusing to let it show.

He had no clue that she enjoyed this sort of content!

The entirety of her feed was filled with it!

Was that why his own abs felt too small, leading her to resist temptation so effortlessly last time?

Or did she simply prefer the type of man who could flirt with just a raised eyebrow or a mere glance?

Micah stewed inwardly, replaying the thoughts over and over in his mind.

Meanwhile, Oriana had no idea of the storm brewing within him. She continued her search for photo templates.

When the page finally loaded, she came to an abrupt halt.

“Are all of them like this?” she exclaimed, her voice laced with disbelief.

“Did you find anything?” Micah inquired, feigning a casual demeanor as he leaned in closer.

Oriana hesitated, her brow furrowing in concentration. “I found some, but it looks a bit tricky.”

Micah leaned in, his expression shifting to one of support. “Just tell me what you need. I’ll follow your lead.”
