**TITLE: He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**
**Chapter 175: Compliments**
Grant stood in the midst of the gathering, observing the familiar chill in Luna’s demeanor. A self-effacing smile crept onto his lips, barely perceptible yet filled with a certain warmth. His eyes, sharp and resolute behind the semi-rimmed glasses, scanned the room, taking in the atmosphere and the people around him.
Luna, ever vigilant, noticed Oriana’s keen gaze fixed on Grant. It was as if an invisible thread of possessiveness tugged at her heart, compelling her to assert her presence. With a blend of pride and urgency, she stepped forward, intertwining her arm with his. “Grant, what brings you here?” she asked, her tone a mix of curiosity and excitement.
“Just happened to be in the vicinity with a few of the leaders,” he replied casually, a hint of nonchalance in his voice. “I heard everyone was here for dinner, so I thought I’d drop by to see what’s happening.”
Yael, the most commanding figure in the room, took a step forward, ready to make introductions. “Allow me to introduce you to our project leader for the Medical Intelligence Program, Mr. Holloway. This is Mr. Ward from Minhale Investment, and, as many of you are already aware, Mr. Dixon, the founder of Smart Drive.”
A murmur of excitement swept through the crowd as Yael continued, “We heard that the key members of the SmartMed Project are all gathered here. We’ve come to show our support—let’s work hard together! Once this project officially launches and starts benefiting the public, everyone present today will have played a significant role in its success!”
For the relatively inexperienced college students, the words of these influential leaders ignited a spark of enthusiasm within them. The opportunity to meet three accomplished company heads up close was a rare honor, and it was impossible for them not to feel excited.
A few bold students, brimming with confidence, cheered enthusiastically, inviting the leaders to join them for dinner. The air was filled with laughter and anticipation, and some of the girls squealed with delight. “Luna, you should tell Mr. Holloway to stay! It’ll be so lively with him here!”
“Absolutely! If Luna just asks, I bet Mr. Holloway won’t want to leave,” another chimed in, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Caught in the whirlwind of attention, Luna tightened her grip on Grant’s arm, her eyes glimmering with excitement. “Grant, if it’s not too much trouble, why don’t you stay? It’ll be more fun with everyone together.”
Grant looked at her, a fondness radiating from his expression. “Alright then, I’ll follow your lead,” he said, his voice warm and inviting.
He then turned his gaze toward Phoenix Ward and Forrest, a playful challenge in his tone. “What about you two? Care to join us?”
“Since Mr. Holloway wants to accompany his girlfriend, who are we to separate you? Stay here!” Phoenix exclaimed, a teasing grin on his face.
Manager Hunter swiftly ushered the three of them toward the private room, excitement bubbling in the air.
Once inside, the girls erupted into delighted squeals, their faces lighting up with joy.
“Wow! Mr. Holloway and Luna are such a sweet couple!” one of them exclaimed, her voice filled with awe.
“I knew it! Mr. Holloway must really listen to Luna. Maybe he came all this way just to be with her!” another added, her eyes wide with admiration.
“And look at the two CEOs; they’re totally swooning too. Everyone loves seeing couples being affectionate!” chimed in yet another girl, her tone teasing yet playful.
“Yeah! I’ve been watching Grant. He’s only nice to Luna when she’s around; the moment he turns his back, his expression turns icy. There’s not a hint of affection. Looks like Luna’s the only one caught up in that fantasy,” Lily remarked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Oriana chose not to respond, her thoughts swirling. She had seen Grant go to great lengths to be with Luna behind her back. Love or not, what difference did it make?
Soon, the waitstaff began serving the dishes, and the aroma of Arthur’s culinary creations wafted through the air, making everyone’s mouths water. Compliments flowed freely as everyone savored the delectable food.
Many students, with their mouths full of deliciousness, raised their glasses and drifted toward the private room, eager to interact with the top executives. Opportunities like these were rare, and they wanted to relish every moment.
Oriana sipped her sea buckthorn juice, the tart-sweet flavor rolling smoothly down her throat, refreshing yet invigorating.
Just then, two figures approached her. Arthur, dressed in his chef’s uniform, placed a cocktail in front of her, with a cool Oscar standing behind him, his demeanor calm and collected.
Oriana wrinkled her nose, suspicion creeping into her voice. “Arthur, what’s this? You’re not trying to get me drunk, are you?”
Arthur sighed, a hint of exasperation in his tone. “Knowing you’d be here tonight, Ethan specifically asked me to serve you a toast. This cocktail is a special mix, low in alcohol.”
He looked straight at Oriana, sincerity shining in his eyes. “Thank you for your help. Last time, Ethan was too flustered to express his gratitude properly, so this time, I’m making it right.”
