My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart (Oriana) novel Chapter 179

**He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen 179**

Grant’s laughter was harsh and bitter, a sound that sliced through the air like a knife. “You lied to Oriana. You manipulated her feelings. Your eyes are perfectly fine—you feigned a weak body to deceive her kindness. I always knew you had no good intentions. Micah, mark my words, you will pay for this!”

Micah’s gaze was as frigid as winter’s chill. “The one who should truly pay is you.” His tone was steady, almost detached, but the underlying anger simmered just below the surface. “I gave you a chance. You didn’t appreciate her. Being cut out is a consequence of your own actions.”

Grant’s fists tightened, knuckles whitening as he struggled to comprehend the gravity of Micah’s words. “What do you mean by that?”

Micah offered no further explanation, his silence a testament to the weight of his thoughts.

With a deliberate motion, he lifted his arm, loosening Grant’s grip, and turned to carry Oriana back to the car. However, he was halted mid-step, his breath catching in his throat.

It was then that he noticed the glaring bruise on Oriana’s forehead, a dark mark that stood out starkly against her pale skin, impossible to overlook.

His voice, low and filled with fury, echoed like a growl from the depths of hell. “You hurt her?!”

“Kieran!”

From the shadows of another pickup truck, Kieran emerged, flanked by several imposing men, their presence commanding and intimidating.

“Mr. Caldwell?” Kieran asked, his voice steady and professional.

Micah’s reply was devoid of emotion, a coldness that sent shivers down spines. “Break his hands.”

“Yes, sir,” Kieran acknowledged, a hint of eagerness in his tone.

Grant’s body went rigid, his bravado faltering. “Micah, how dare you—”

Before he could finish, Kieran merely raised an eyebrow, a silent command to his men. In an instant, they shattered every nearby camera with swift, decisive punches, then formed a tight circle around Grant and his driver, trapping them.

“What are you doing? How much is Micah paying you? I’ll double it, triple it—ah! Damn it, Micah, I will never forgive you!”

The air filled with sounds of pain, each cry echoing the consequences of Grant’s actions, one after another.

The Maybach glided to a stop in front of a pharmacy on Main Avenue, the city lights flickering around them.

“Mr. Caldwell, this is the best medicine for bruises and blood circulation,” Kieran said, passing the small bottle through the window, stepping back with a respectful nod.

Inside the car, Micah turned on the overhead light, the soft glow illuminating Oriana’s face as he carefully applied the medicinal alcohol to her bruises, his touch gentle yet firm.

The sting of the alcohol caused her to flinch, a reaction that tore at Micah’s heart.

Before she even opened her eyes, she was struggling against the pain, her voice a whisper of desperation. “No, let go—”

Micah’s chest tightened, as if a heavy hand was squeezing his heart, the sight of her distress unbearable.

He immediately released her, drawing her close, his lips brushing against her ear. “It’s okay, it’s okay. I’m here. I’m so sorry I’m late.”

Oriana’s struggles began to subside, her body relaxing as if an invisible force had calmed her.

“Yes, Mr. Caldwell.” Kieran glanced at the girl nestled in Micah’s arms, a sudden thought crossing his mind. He leaned in closer, lowering his voice.

“Mrs. Caldwell’s phone has been retrieved. They’re sending it over. Apparently, someone even called claiming to be her colleague, crying and asking for her.”

Micah’s expression hardened, his eyes turning icy. “It’s her friend. Send a reply. Don’t let anyone worry.”

He recalled how Lily had been instrumental in this situation, a small glimmer of gratitude surfacing amidst the chaos.

Kieran nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. “Understood.”

As the Maybach glided into the underground garage, Micah prepared to exit the vehicle.

However, at the slightest movement, Oriana startled awake, like a frightened bird in her sleep, her grip tightening around him, her voice trembling with tears. “Micah?”

“Shh, I’m here. It’s alright,” he murmured, his voice a soothing balm against her fears.

Patiently, he calmed her for a moment longer, before deciding to carry her down with him, unwilling to let her go.

Kieran, witnessing this tender moment, gaped in disbelief. “Mr. Caldwell, should I—?”

He was immediately met with Micah’s icy glare, a warning that silenced any further questions.

Kieran shivered, realizing he had overstepped his bounds.

Micah simply could not bear the thought of anyone else holding Oriana, his protective instincts flaring to life.

Just then, from a distance, Grant appeared, carrying Oriana in his arms, and Micah’s entire demeanor shifted, brimming with lethal intent, a storm brewing within him, nearly overflowing.
