“Don’t worry!” Zara didn’t say more. “I’m going to pack now, won’t disturb your couple time anymore. Goodnight!”
With that, she immediately hung up the video call.
It was the first time Oriana had seen her log off in such a hurry.
But she couldn’t figure out the reason, so she finally shook her head and went to find Micah to help him clean the kitchen.
Tossing her phone aside, Zara let out a long, heavy breath.
She turned and looked at the stained dress she’d forgotten to deal with, a headache brewing.
Taking it back with her? Troublesome.
Leaving it here? Even more Troublesome.
She pondered for a good while, then finally found a takeout bag, stuffed the dress into a ball inside it, called hotel services, and had them come up to take her trash out.
Shortly after, a hotel staff member knocked and entered. “Ms. Radcliffe.”
Zara pointed at the pile of takeout bags on the floor. “Just those, please take them out. The tip is on the table.”
“Certainly, Ms. Radcliffe.”
The staff member carried the items out. Just as he turned the corridor corner, he set the bags down, crouched, took several photos, and sent them to a number.
A video call came through almost instantly.
The staff member quickly answered. Kenny’s
riking, arrogantly styled light blue hair was prominent as
he leaned close to the screen.
“All takeout? Nothing else?”
Kenny stared for a long moment, holding his breath.
Dammit, even through a phone screen, why does it feel like I’m the one digging through garbage?
The staff member nodded. “Yes, Sir. Only takeout bags. Ms. Radcliffe has indeed mostly ordered takeout during her stay.”
“And did she… bring any boyfriends upstairs?”
The staff member shook his head. “Ms. Radcliffe has only had female guests upstairs.”

“Female? Who? Oriana Sterling?” Kenny pressed.

“Uh, Ms. Sterling seemed to have visited once. The person who came later wasn’t Ms. Sterling, it was another lady,”
“Fine.” Kenny rubbed his chin, muttering. “Can’t figure her out.”
“Mr. Caldwell, should we keep these items?”
“Keep them for what?” Kenny rolled his eyes, waving dismissively. “Throw them out.”
“Understood. Ms. Radcliffe has booked an airport transfer service for tomorrow at noon.”
Kenny was taken aback. “She’s leaving already?”
The staff member kindly reminded him, “Ms. Radcliffe has been staying at the hotel for nearly ten days.”
Hah. Stayed ten days and just took my precious first time!
Kenny grumbled internally, finally letting out a sarcastic snort. “Good that she’s leaving! Her staying in Jindiwood was an eyesore anyway!”
He hung up. The staff member scratched his head, confused.
Putting his phone away, he carried the bags to the trash room.
Halfway there, one bag wasn’t secured properly and fell, a dress rolling out from inside.
The staff member paused, debating whether to report this to Kenny too.
Finally, remembering Kenny’s disgusted and annoyed expression, he shook his head, cleaned the item off the carpet, and left with the bags.

The next day, when Oriana arrived at the hospital and entered the locker room, she heard them discussing something.
“Did you see it on your way here? The ad on the International Trade Tower! So eye–catching!”
“I saw it too! It says ‘For our shining daughter Luna‘. Must be her parents buying it, wishing her success in the review. Her family spoils her so much!”
“Of course they do! Good family, pretty, her boyfriend is a hot tech star, and Luna herself is highly intelligent and capable. The last one this impressive was probably Leo.”
“Gotta say, Mr. Flint is amazing at spotting talent. Both Leo and Luna are his students.”
“Hey, speaking of which, I heard Oriana actually wanted Mr. Flint as her mentor initially.”
“Ah? What’s the story?”
