Chapter 321 The Web of Deceit
“The other is Ms. Oriana Sterling. Congratulations to you both!”
“Congratulations!”
“Wait?”
“What? It isn’t our Luna?!”

Amid the thunderous applause, the stunned objections from the Sterling family were particularly jarring.
Luna remained frozen mid–curtsey, bent at the waist, suspended in the air.
Her eyes widened in disbelief, and she snapped her head towards Oriana, who was rising gracefully diagonally across from her to receive her accolade-
Oriana’s face was utterly composed, adorned with a serene, faint smile.
Her gaze met Luna’s utterly shocked one directly, and the corner of her mouth twitched slightly, mocking…
Mocking her for getting ahead of herself.
Mocking her for being the defeated one!
Luna’s mind felt like it was exploding. A surging torrent of blood rushed upwards–shame, anger, all mixed together–straight to her head.
In the blink of an eye, her entire face turned so red it seemed about to drip blood!
Before she could even voice an objection, Bramwell, unable to hold back any longer, stood up and accused Yael, “That’s wrong! These scores are wrong! There must be a mistake! How could the top two not include Luna?”
It was bad enough it wasn’t Luna, but it was that little wretch Oriana?
How… how could Luna possibly lose to Oriana?
And besides-
Hadn’t the inside information already indicated Luna was in the top two? How did it change just like that? Bramwell’s face was flushed with angry red. His mind raced, and whatever thought surfaced, he blurted it out without thinking. “Foul play! Someone must have tampered with the rankings and scores!”
The applause gradually died down.
Everyone looked puzzledly at the indignant Bramwell and Luna, also feeling perplexed.

With the celebratory ad on the International Trade Tower this morning, and the tour around the entire MDT department, everyone had assumed Luna had won a spot.
How did it turn out to be Oriana?
This was so awkward…
Amid the silence, William snorted with laughter, “And just where did you pop out from, you old fossil? This is our hospital’s internal review. What does it have to do with an outsider like you?”
Bramwell wasn’t a major figure, but given his current status and position, people usually addressed him respectfully as ‘Mr. Sterling‘
What did that slovenly, rogue of a director just call him? Old… old fossil?
Bramwell’s face turned green with utter humiliation!
“I am Luna’s father! My daughter is facing foul play, her score stolen from her! Why shouldn’t I speak up?!”
“Hah, the scores were just announced. How do you know your daughter’s score was ‘stolen‘?”
William chuckled, slowly scanning the room, his words loaded with meaning. “Why don’t you say your daughter stole from someone else?”
Luna’s face changed dramatically. What did that old fool mean?
Did he know something?
No, William wasn’t on the judging panel. How could he know she plagiarized Oriana?
And even if they noticed similarities, so what? Her version, refined by Cormac and Leo, was the superior
one.
Oriana simply didn’t have the ability to produce something better than her.
If anyone plagiarized, it could only be Oriana copying from her!/
Besides, did Oriana have any proof?
There were no cameras in that part of the library. Who saw anything?
Thinking this, Luna quickly steadied herself, a look of righteous indignation on her face.
“Mr. Harris, without evidence, please do not slander my character and professional integrity!”
She looked the picture of a clear conscience, her eyes firm, like a gorgeous flower standing resilient against
the wind.
Cormac’s face was dark. He shot a cold glance at William, then looked towards Alistair and Frederick not far away.
