Sweetness
“I’m not your first.”
Micah’s voice held a deep ache that made Oriana almost bite her tongue.
Sensing his disappointment and his instinct to pull away, she quickly lifted her hand to wrap around his neck and drew him back.
“No way, Micah. You’re my first; no one else can replace you!”
“I–I just feel so happy right now, so incredibly lucky that I can’t help but get carried away, and even a little greedy.”
Hearing that Micah was Oriana’s first brought a warm sweetness deep inside him, melting his worries away.
But then Oriana’s next words made his body shift slightly.
Biting her lip softly, she spoke gently and stood on tiptoe to brush her cheek against his.
“I have my loving husband, my closest girlfriends. I go out with you guys all together. I get to enjoy both love and friendship at the same time.”
“Micah, I’m really happy today—not just because Zara got her marriage license or that Grant and Luna finally got what they deserved. I just feel that the simple life I never even dreamed of before is really happening now, and I’m truly joyful, like I’m living in a dream.”
As she spoke, a soft, joyful smile spread across her face, and tears slipped uncontrollably from the corners of her eyes.
“Micah, I know I was wrong. I broke my promise and hurt you. I’m sorry.”
“You’re not at fault. I am.”
Micah sighed quietly. “I’m the greedy one. I only want you all to myself, but you want to feel so much more happiness. What fault is that of yours?”
His palm, dry yet warm, brushed gently across her cheek, softly wiping away her tears.
“Micah, are you not mad at me anymore?”
“Yes.”

Feeling the curve of Oriana’s smile under his palm, Micah caught her little, easy–to–show weakness and felt his heart swell with love and sweetness.
He knew she was deliberately showing vulnerability to calm him down, and he totally fell for
Because she was the only person he truly cared about.
And Oriana was right.
It wasn’t her fault for being greedy; it was Kenny’s fault for not even being able to take care of his own wife.
Micah’s eyes
darkened as he gently patted her back again and again to soothe her. “This time, I’m giving in to you, but it’s the last time.”
Oriana clung to him tightly, agreeing over and over. “Okay, just this once. From now on, I’ll listen to you.”
She looked unusually soft and adorable like this.
Micah bent down and kissed her repeatedly on the tip of her nose.

Far away at Caldwell Estate, Kenny suddenly shivered for no reason.
“Ugh, why do I feel so creeped out?”
Zara was already eagerly flipping through honeymoon destinations without even looking up. “If you haven’t done anything wrong, there’s nothing to be afraid of. Did you do something bad?”
“I’m a straight shooter! It must be something you did wrong that’s causing me all this trouble.”
“Me?”
Kenny pressed his throbbing temples. “Can you control yourself and stop sticking to Oriana?
your
limits.” She’s Micah’s wife, not yours. Know
Zara frowned deeply. “So what? I’m Oriana’s closest, most trusted girlfriend! And we’re barely even together these days. Is Micah really that petty?”

Kenny opened his mouth, almost revealing the secrets Micah was hiding in the bedroom.
But he caught himself in time, his eyes darting before he waved off the thought with a warning. “Just don’t bother them so much. Micah won’t be happy!”
“Got it. Men are so petty.”
Oriana thought Micah was truly pacified by her.
After a whole night of packing, she washed up and got into bed, ready to rest early for the next day. But the instant his body pressed against hers without hesitation, she knew she was too optimistic.
After nearly two hours of fussing back and forth, completely exhausted and unable to keep her eyes open, Oriana came to one clear conclusion. Micah’s tolerance never showed up in bed.
The next morning, at 9.58 a.m., Oriana barely made it to the hospital meeting spot just in time.
