Chapter 518 New Arrangement
Edgar was stunned. “What do you mean?”
Alaric shrugged, lowering his voice. “They were together at the last celebration party. The history between them goes much further back than you or I know. So, stay out of it!”
“Hah!”
Edgar sneered coldly, draining his glass in one gulp.
Grant formally introduced Jonathan to them, just as he had years ago, behind Oriana’s back, when he introduced Luna to these men.
“Everyone, meet Jonathan.”
After a pause, Grant said to Alaric, “Go to HR tomorrow. Arrange a position for her, assigned to my office.”
Jonathan was overwhelmed. “Mr. Holloway, that’s not appropriate, is it? I know your company hires top graduates. I’m just a nurse…”
Grant liked seeing her look so innocent. It really resembled Oriana during their university days–youthful and naive.
He smiled at that and added to Alaric, “Then set up a medical office. For exclusive use.”
Exclusive use for Grant? Alaric moved his lips. “Understood, Grant.”
The others, used to this, started teasing, “Grant never lacks romantic luck.”
“Grant’s taste is impeccable. Top–notch at projects, raising funds; and choosing women–absolutely the
best!”
“What are you all shouting? Call her ‘Madam‘!”
“Oh right! Hello, Madam!”
“Look how happy Grant is. Madam, have a drink with Grant–a crossed–arm toast!”
“Crossed arms!”
Amid the clamor, they shoved glasses into their hands.
This was familiar territory for them.
Back in the day, after Grant pacified Oriana at home, he’d come out and fool around with them and Luna. It had always been like that.
Luna was open–minded and could get along with them.
Grant, flushed with triumph, hooked his arm with the equally blushing Jonathan’s, pulling it over to

complete the crossed–arm toast they wanted.
Grant’s phone, casually placed on the table, had been flashing for a while. The screen lit up and then went dark again.
Lying there were several missed calls from Luna.

Around ten o’clock at night, the four arrived in Pyre City by high–speed train.
After a day of travel and the earlier commotion with Celeste, all four were exhausted. Fortunately, the pre- booked homestay villa had arranged a car to pick them up.
Their accommodation was a standalone cottage Zara had carefully chosen. The house was built of wood, full of local charm, with two floors. The ground floor had a lawn and a small pool, surrounded by unique large trees, offering plenty of privacy.
Zara asked, “There are rooms upstairs and downstairs. Do you two want to stay downstairs? It’s more convenient.”
Oriana nodded. “Sure.”
Kenny took care of moving all the luggage. Since Micah couldn’t help much, and Oriana and Zara were women, he naturally took on the heavy lifting.
After moving just two large suitcases, he started complaining, “Order some food quickly. I’m starving.” The train had meals, but the taste left much to be desired. Kenny wasn’t overly picky, but he wouldn’t eat just anything. After a few bites, he’d stopped, waiting for the “feast” Zara had promised.
“There’s no delivery at this hour. It’s all fields and forests around here. We’ll have to go out to eat.”
“What?!” Kenny clutched his head, groaning. “We finally arrive, and now we have to go out again? I’d rather starve!”
Micah set down his laptop bag and began rolling up his sleeves. “What ingredients are there? I’ll cook.”
Zara and Kenny were taken aback. “You? Cook?”
“Micah, don’t joke!”
Oriana, busy tidying up the bedroom, stuck her head out with a smile. “Zara, help him get familiar with the kitchen and assist him. Let him do it.”
“Huh?”
Zara looked suspiciously, scanning Micah up and down. “Are you sure this won’t be… mistreating-
She didn’t dare say the word “blind.”

Oriana gave her a reassuring nod. “Yes, he can handle it. Don’t worry.”
“Micah shouldn’t do this kind of work. I’ll do it. At least I can cook instant food.” Kenny couldn’t bear to see Micah doing such menial tasks.
In his lifelong memory, Micah’s hands were meant for keyboards. When had they ever held pots and
pans…
Micah asked Oriana directly, “What would you like? Something light or with stronger flavors?”
“Anything is fine. Ask them. Zara just said she wanted something sour and spicy. How about spicy mac and cheese?”
Micah nodded. “Alright.”
With that, he had already asked Zara to show him the way to the kitchen.
“Wait, seriously, no joke? Micah can really cook?”
