Luna waved a dismissive hand. “Let him be. With him away, we have more time to properly.” She turned to Owen. “Owen, if you truly want to help me, once you’re in the company, you must work hard, learn diligently from your seniors.
She looked at Owen. She stepped forward and took his hands. “My future happiness, and the hopes of the Sterling family, all rest on you now She paused, softening her tone. “And for Oriana too. Both she and I misjudged our man, both betrayed by the same person. Do it for us as well.”
Owen wore a look of utmost seriousness. “Luna, don’t worry. I won’t let either of you down.”
A faint smile of relief curved Luna’s lips. “Good.”
In Seabar, Michael came to with a start. He found his hands and feet bound, discarded in an unfamiliar room.
“Is anyone there?
“Who did this?! Let’s talk this out! I’ve done you no wrong! If it’s money… money I can give you! Just don’t hurt me, we can discuss anything!
“Is anyone there?!”
From cautious whispering, Michael’s shouts grew more desperate until his throat was raw, but no one answered.
He tried every method to loosen the ropes, but his captors had used knots that wouldn’t budge, no matter how he strained.
As exhaustion set in, footsteps approached.
Michael tensed. “Who’s there?”
“Mr. Lynch. Long time no see.”
A deep voice rang. The black cloth covering his eyes was yanked away. Suddenly, the light forced him to shut his eyes tightly.
When he could see again, he blinked at the man sitting on the sofa opposite him. Michael froze in recognition.
“You… Grant Holloway? Why… why is it you?”

Chapter 511 Grant’s Interrogation
Michael was furious. “Why have you taken me? This is illegal! Untie me at oncet
Grant, having traveled non–stop, lounged comfortably on the sofa. “Mr. Lynch. I brought you here because I have some questions.
He crossed his legs. It had been less than a year, yet he already carried the demeanor of someone in complete control. “Mr. Lynch, do you remember Oriana Sterling? She was your student. You helped her–behind my back–apply to a university in Jindiwood”
Michael’s eyes flickered. “I have nothing to say to you.”
“Earlier today, you told someone that her ideal match found her” Grant’s eyes turned cold. “Do you know something, Mr. Lynch?”
Michael’s expression instantly grew awkward. “That was just an offhand remark”
“Was it really just offhand?” Grant’s voice sharpened as he cut him off. He grabbed a file and slammed it onto the table before Michael. “Mr. Lynch, the year before Oriana entered Seabar University, you were still a basic course lecturer in the Physics Department. You came from poverty, with no connections. Yet that same year you leaped several levels, replacing the well–respected deputy dean to become the Head of the Medical Department! Throughout Oriana’s studies, you showed her excessive favor repeatedly assisting her at critical moments, even invoking special privileges… And you dare claim this is all just an ‘offhand‘ relationship?!”
Grant’s gaze bore into the anxiety now visible on Michael’s typically rigid, plain face. All those minor details he had once overlooked now suddenly made sense.
“No wonder Oriana always mentioned how much you, cared for her. She always thought you were a good teacher, a good administrator. Now see it was all done deliberately, under someone’s orders. And that someone–is the young master of the Caldwell Group, Micah! The same person whose charitable foundation funded your escape from that mountain village and your climb into Seabar University!”
