“No!”

Before Oriana could finish, Micah suddenly pulled her into his arms, frantically searching for her lips with his own.
Since Micah couldn’t see, his first kiss landed on the left side of her nose. He pressed his nose against hers, then slid down carefully, and the second time, his lips finally sealed hers firmly.
As he kissed her, he bit her upper lip lightly in frustration. But just seconds later, his tone softened with pain. He loosened his grip and returned to his usual gentle self, tenderly kissing every inch of her face.
“No, I won’t let you go back to Grant.”
Oriana’s voice cracked with tears. “You don’t want me anymore. You lied to me. Who I go to is none of your business.”
“Go wherever you want―anyone, just not Grant!”
Oriana was stunned, her chest tightening. She deliberately shot back, Fine, if you say anyone but Grant, then I’ll inherit your fortune and date younger hot guys. They’ll pamper me and keep me way happier!”
Micah’s kiss turned rough, almost punishing, drowning out her words and breath.
Oriana was pinned down on the hospital bed. He leaned over her, kissing her so fiercely she struggled to breathe.
She didn’t even notice when he finally pulled away. Her mind went blank for a moment, and she instinctively gasped for air with her mouth open wide.
Micah stayed pressed against her cheek, then shifted to nibble on her earlobe. Each word was forced out between clenched teeth, as if he wanted to hammer his message into her brain.
“No. No Grant. No hot guys. No one. No one at all!”
In all the time they’d been together, this was the most out–of–control Micah had ever been.
He was truly furious with her!
Gradually, Oriana came back to herself and turned onto her side, laughing aloud.
Listening to his heavy breathing against her, she stole a glance at him. Seeing his clearly upset expression,
she felt a rush of satisfaction.
Micah bit her again, low and rough against her ear. “You spoke that on purpose, didn’t you?”
With that magnetic, seductive tone, Oriana shivered despite herself and shot him an annoyed look.
“I didn’t. I mean what I say. You don’t want me first.”

Chapter 567 Micah’s Story
Silly Micah–if you won’t say it, then I’ll just tease you!
“How could I not want you? How could I ever give you up?”
His hollow eyes stayed fixed on her.

After a long moment, Micah finally sighed deeply. He rolled over, lying side by side with her, wrapping her in his arms from behind.
Their bodies pressed tightly together, perfectly fitting each other.
Oriana’s heart raced uncontrollably. Then she heard him whisper behind her, “The only thing I’m afraid of is you not wanting me.”
She let out a muffled sigh but didn’t answer.
After a while, Micah finally gave in.
“I’ve told you everything. Is that enough?”
?
Whether I say it or not, she’ll blame me anyway. Might as well clear it all out. At least then she’ll have one less reason to hate me in the future.
Micah pressed his forehead against the back of her head and spoke slowly. “My illness has been with me before I was born. The Caldwell family is wealthy, and they believed I would get the best treatment from the start.
“At first, just as they hoped, my parents devoted all their attention to me–company, treatment, protection -and I slowly became a normal person.
“But the good times didn’t last. My parents‘ deaths hit me hard. After that, I rejected everything from the outside world–even Grandpa and Kenny, I couldn’t accept.
“Until you appeared.
“I’d been watching you quietly. You brought color and joy to my black–and–white world. Everything that happened to you felt like it was happening to me, too.”
