Oriana’s eyes flickered as she instinctively tightened her grip on his hands, pulling him closer to her side.
Micah’s breath caught, thinking she was about to kiss him. Uncontrollably, he quickened the pace and shut his eyes instinctively.
But the next second, she softened her voice. “Micah, have you ever seen me die a horrible death?”
Shock and disbelief flashed across Micah’s face.
“You went into the little room?”
Oriana nodded. “After hearing what Grant said, I was confused and unsure. Kenny found out by accident. He thought I’d cruelly break up with you. He begged me to give you a chance and let me in there. Naturally, I learned everything.”
Oriana answered honestly. “All the secrets in that little room–I saw them all. Though they’re your secrets, they’re all my memories, except for the last part.”
Micah slowly regained his composure amidst the shock.
Actually, hearing her subtle suspicion just now, he already knew she had guessed something.
Oriana was too smart not to figure it out.
Micah swallowed hard. “That’s right. Though it defies logic, I really did time travel.”
“The parts in there that diverge from our marriage were rewritten from memory after I time–traveled back.”
“It really happened in a previous life.”
Clearly, Oriana’s mental preparedness was still not enough.
“I really did.”
“Yes, Grant and Luna killed you.”
A ruthless gleam flashed in his eyes.
Seeing this, Oriana asked without hesitation about the ending she hadn’t witnessed. “What about you, Micah? After I died, where did you go?”
He didn’t hide anything, answering bluntly. “I avenged you. Killed that couple of scumbags. We went to the grave together to see you.”
The cold, ruthless side of Micah that appeared before Oriana was unlike anything she had seen before. Her heart trembled deeply. After a brief shock, she didn’t hesitate to cover his lips with her hand.
Between their breaths, his lips brushed her palm, sensing her slight trembling.

Micah suppressed the chill in his expression and gently pulled her hand down, wrapping Oriana back into his embrace.
He used his body heat and heartbeat to soothe her turmoil. “Don’t be afraid. This lifetime, none of what’s recorded there will happen.”
Oriana murmured, “So, you deliberately targeted Grant, even secretly taught him a lesson behind my back, and exhausted your body at the Research Center–not just to surpass him, but to avenge me in a roundabout way.”
“He never deserved it.”
Micah sneered coldly. “In the previous life, you drained yourself to consolidate Seabar for Grant. Luna stole your father’s martyr medal, mingled with the powerful, and even got plenty of favors from Xander. Along with Leo and a few others hot–bloodedly repaying debts, they trampled over your corpse and drank your blood, becoming the most envied power couple in all of Jindiwood. This life, no matter what, they deserve to suffer and die without a grave.”
Oriana couldn’t help but clutch the hem of his shirt tightly.

Micah looked down, his tone instantly softening. “Did I scare you?”
