My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart (Oriana) novel Chapter 82

**He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**

William had never anticipated that this girl, in the span of just a few days, would immerse herself so deeply in the study of traditional medicine. It was evident that she had dedicated herself to her research with genuine commitment and diligence. The way she absorbed the material, her eyes alight with understanding, spoke volumes of her determination and passion.

After a brief but lively exchange, William flamboyantly scrawled his name in the recommendation section of the application before taking his leave. Once he had seen Micah off, Oriana wasted no time and promptly submitted the form, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and anxiety.

James had given strict orders to his team to keep a vigilant watch for Oriana’s application. The instant she submitted it, a notification pinged on his device, drawing his attention with an insatiable curiosity.

“Tsk tsk, does that woman have no sense of decency? She actually dares to falsely claim that William is her supervisor? And to top it off, she even forged his signature!” he spat, his voice laced with contempt. The disgust in his tone was palpable, and his disdain for Oriana was as clear as day.

Around them, the lab buzzed with a frenetic energy as everyone scrambled to meet looming deadlines. Cormac was expected to return from his out-of-province trip today, and the atmosphere was thick with anticipation. Even Luna was caught up in the frenzy, diligently preparing herself to make a favorable impression.

At the sound of James’s words, Luna looked up from her computer, her eyes widening in exaggerated shock. “Oriana would actually do that? James, then this application…” she trailed off, feigning innocence.

“Of course, it’s rejected! As if she could waltz into the MDT with a random forged signature! She must be dreaming!” James declared with a dismissive wave of his hand.

Luna lowered her gaze, a glimmer of barely contained glee dancing in her eyes.

Oriana, just accept your fate. You can never hope to catch up to me.

Later that day, after class had concluded, Oriana excitedly recounted the unexpected encounter with William to Lily.

Lily’s jaw dropped in disbelief, her eyes wide as she repeatedly confirmed, “You’re certain it was him? You didn’t mistake someone else for him, did you?”

“It was definitely him. Mr. Harris. He even signed as my recommending professor. I submitted the form this morning,” Oriana replied, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.

“Really? That’s absolutely fantastic! I never thought Mr. Harris, despite his laid-back attitude, would actually come through when it mattered most!” Lily exclaimed, her excitement infectious. “You submitted it this morning? Then it should be approved by now. Check the academic affairs system!”

“Okay!” Oriana responded eagerly, her heart pounding as she opened the system. Sure enough, a new message awaited her. But the moment she clicked it open, the smile that had been brightening her face instantly froze.

“What’s wrong, Oriana?” Lily asked, sensing the change in her friend’s demeanor. She stepped closer, peering at the screen with concern.

For a moment, Oriana was taken aback. “Oh, has the notice about Felix come down already?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

As she traveled, an idea began to take shape in her mind. Micah had a habit of wearing the same pair of dark sunglasses day in and day out. Perhaps she could surprise him with a new pair, something he could alternate with the old ones.

After browsing through several stores, she found herself drawn to a pair of sunglasses from a luxury accessories brand. They were the only ones with spring hinges designed for long-term wear, and she appreciated the blend of comfort and style. After all, Micah’s facial proportions were flawless; he could effortlessly pull off any look with his unique charm.

However, as she stood there contemplating her choice, she couldn’t help but feel a little self-conscious. Her own outfit was rather plain, and several sales assistants she approached had treated her with indifference. Just when she was about to give up, a trainee wearing a name tag approached her with a friendly smile, ready to assist.

Just as Oriana was hesitating between a sleek gunmetal grey pair and a rich dark brown one, she heard a familiar voice behind her.

“Luna, you spoil Grant too much! Not only did you pull strings to get him an invitation to the World Robotics Conference, but you’re also here personally picking out a suit for him!”

The voice belonged to Sloane Holloway, and her tone was playful yet teasing. “With a capable partner like you by his side, it’s no wonder Grant is so successful!”

“Ms. Holloway, Jindiwood isn’t like Seabar. It’s a new starting point for him. He’s been under a lot of pressure lately, and I just want to help lighten his burdens,” Luna replied, her sweet smile radiating warmth.

Sloane grinned back. “Good! With a wonderful girl like you by his side, his parents would be so comforted. A girl like you truly deserves Grant. Not like that Oriana who used to cling to him shamelessly, relying on him for support. Hah! She’s so delicate she couldn’t even cook a meal. Useless to Grant, and now she has the nerve to throw tantrums and make demands? She should really take a good look at herself and know her place!”
