My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart (Oriana) novel Chapter 97

**TITLE: He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**
**Chapter 97: The Reason Behind the Dream**

It was finished. The weight of the realization settled heavily upon Oriana, yet it was the notion that the exceptionally talented student might very well be Micah that illuminated her thoughts, casting away the shadows of doubt. Suddenly, everything fell into place, as if a complex puzzle had finally revealed its true picture.

He was undeniably capable!

“Alright, I’ll admit it. After I withdrew, William took it pretty hard,” Micah confessed, his voice tinged with a reluctant acceptance, a resigned sigh escaping his lips as if he were releasing the burden of unspoken truths.

Oriana’s curiosity ignited like a flame, drawing her in closer. She leaned forward, her gaze fixed on his strikingly handsome face, every feature perfectly sculpted. “But why did you want to study medicine in the first place? And what made you stop?” Her voice was soft, yet insistent, filled with a genuine desire to understand.

His Adam’s apple bobbed as he let out a low, bitter laugh that echoed the pain of past choices. “My temperament and physical condition… I just couldn’t treat patients. I struggled to collaborate effectively with others on research. It simply wasn’t the right field for me.”

He paused, his voice drifting into a distant memory. “As for why I considered medicine…” His tone turned reflective, almost melancholic. “I’ve always been someone who lacked a clear vision for the future.”

A poignant memory surfaced in his mind. “Back at the sanatorium, I remember hearing you crying in the hallway. You were so heartbroken, expressing a desire to become an oncologist. You wanted to alleviate the suffering of patients, to help them pass on without pain.”

His thoughts lingered on her words, the weight of her dreams intertwining with his own aspirations. Because you wanted to do it, it became my ideal too. In this second chance at life, the desire to protect you and secure your revenge guided my choices once again.

These sentiments remained unvoiced, buried deep within Micah’s heart, a secret he chose not to share.

Oriana, caught off guard by his revelations, fell silent, her mind racing. “It was… because of me?” The astonishment in her voice was palpable. She had never imagined that her aspirations could have such a profound impact on someone else.

For a fleeting moment, an indescribable mixture of emotions surged within her, fluttering wildly in her chest like a caged bird desperate to escape.

Instinctively, she pressed a hand over her heart, attempting to calm the tempest of feelings that threatened to overwhelm her.

Not wishing to place this newfound weight upon her, Micah gently redirected the conversation. “It seems William wants me to tutor you.”

Oriana scratched her cheek, a hint of embarrassment coloring her cheeks. “That seems to be the plan…”

“Then let’s begin right now. Whatever you find confusing, I’ll help you understand,” he insisted, his determination evident.

“So suddenly?” Oriana hesitated, the thought of troubling him making her uneasy. But he continued, unwavering in his intent. “I heard you reciting acupoints earlier. Are you stuck on them?”

Oriana let out a helpless sigh, “Yes. The human body has a total of 720 acupoints, with 360 commonly used. Even if I can remember their names, their locations and functions keep slipping away from my mind.”

“I see. But you’re bright and clever. Memorizing them shouldn’t be too difficult for you,” he reassured her, his confidence in her abilities shining through.

“Thank you for the vote of confidence,” she replied with a wry smile, a hint of sarcasm lacing her words.

Micah pondered for a moment, his expression thoughtful. “If something leaves a deep impression on you, would you remember it then?”

The room darkened significantly, but even in the dim light, when she turned back, the chiseled lines of his physique struck her like a bolt of lightning.

Oriana swallowed nervously, her voice barely above a whisper. “I was just worried people across the way might see, so…”

Micah nodded, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “Mm. It’s only for you. We should close them.” He added with a hint of mischief, “But you could just command Chubby. The curtains are on the smart system.”

Oriana hadn’t wanted to watch him undress directly; the visual impact was overwhelming, sending her heart racing as if it might leap from her chest!

Determined to regain her composure, Oriana found the first aid kit. After disinfecting the acupoint areas on Micah’s body and her own hands with alcohol, she opened the package of needles with a mix of trepidation and anticipation.

Her gaze traveled over his form, and she took a deep breath, clearing her mind to focus. “We’ll start with the hand. The first major point, Hegu. It’s located between the first and second metacarpal bones on the back of the hand…”

Following his gentle guidance, she twisted a needle and carefully inserted it into his acupoint.

She didn’t consult the book; instead, she relied on Micah’s patient prompting, accurately locating each point with growing confidence.

Just as he had suggested, the act of performing the needling herself etched the knowledge deeper into her memory.

Starting with hesitant caution, she gradually grew more assured and skilled, the rhythm of their shared experience weaving an unspoken bond between them.
