My Stepsister Returned To Rewrite Fate But I Became Luna (Chloe) novel Chapter 52

Chapter 52

Chloe’s POV

Axel blatantly ignored Reese and held my wrist, dragging me downstairs to a black Bentley parked outside the lecture hall.

The moment we got in, he shut the doors. “Who the hell was that guy?” he snapped, rubbing his nose like he was trying to get rid of a foul stench.

Good. He smelled it too.

I crossed my arms and faced the window. “I met him today. He is friends with Sandra-”

“So you were trying to be friends with him as well?”

His tone. What the hell was he insinuating?

I looked at him. “Don’t you think you should rush back to Celestia? She must be heartbroken waiting for you in that classroom.”

He had the audacity to sigh in frustration. “Celestia and I are not like anything you are thinking. You know that!” he snapped.

My eyes narrowed sharply. Did I?

But I refused to voice out my complaints. He could do what he wanted without me or the weight of our arrangement breathing down my neck.

“If you are not going to drive us back to Moonflame, I will walk,” I said, my hand already moving to the car

door.

Truth be told, I did not know where Moonflame was but I also trusted my sense of smell to a large extent. Even if I was not able to locate the pack, anywhere I chose to go would be better than remaining locked in this car with Axel as insufferable as he was.

“I would rather we have a conversation, Chloe,” he said, trying to hold my hand but I snapped it away from him. “I am sorry. I should not have left with Celestia without informing you. It was just that I could not say no to her father’s request-”

“Like I care,” I spat and faced the window again. “Are you driving or should I find my way?”
