My Stepsister Returned To Rewrite Fate But I Became Luna (Chloe) novel Chapter 62

Chapter 62

Chloe’s POV

“How do you have a helicopter? What did you say your father did for work again?”

I had just randomly mentioned a few minutes into our conversation that I wished that I could go on a helicopter ride and he told me that one would be arriving in Moonflame airspace soon. It touched down

in minutes.

The helicopter had just been traveling round the area when Liam informed me that Celestia had blown it. So Axel and the others had to escape first before even thinking of saving Sandra.

He was monitoring the truck that had Sandra in it and before it would be loaded into the cargo, I decided to do the humane thing and go stop it.

“Just some small company owner,” Liam said dismissively. “They gifted him this from company funds.”

What kind of small company owner could afford a personal helicopter, out of the excesses of company profit? I would be an idiot to really believe that.

Yet I did not call him out on his bullshit. I focused on the screen of the drone camera image that Liam was using to track Axel and the Moonflame Alpha family.

They were now in the field as I gave them the instruction.

“Hey, what do we do about Celestia?” I asked. She was still with the leader and Axel would have to cross lines of hunters with guns to get to her. And they could not shift. These were palm trees, not think forests.

It was already a miracle that no one had noticed all the shooting even with the silenced guns. However, growling, snarling and even worse, howling would be much harder to disguise.

There was also the fact that time was going by and they still had not found Sandra. Goddess. What kind

of mess was this?

“She brought his upon herself,” Liam hissed through a tight jaw. “Just thinking about the fact that she is the reason you are on this suicide mission makes me want to release her browser history on the Internet

for the sake of it.*

If Celestia had not been a fool.

If Sandra had not been an even bigger fool. Love charm or not. The charm could not fully work as well as it did on Sandra if there were now seeds already planted.

Reese tried it on me but I was perfectly fine.

“I just pierced down guy’s leg. You want to try?” Liam said and suddenly, a new game like interface covered my screen.

There were images of snipers and targets. All I needed to do was aim for their vital signs and this would be over.

I shot a quick text to Axel to be ready and then, I started to snipe down the men one after the other. Seeing their chance, the two younger Alphas jumped ahead, sinking their claws into the nearby men.

Excitement filled my chest as I practiced sniping at the different men. I did not know that I would enjoy video games as much as I did.

“You like?” Liam asked and I nodded excitedly as though he could see me. Then again, with his abilities, I would not be surprised that he could.

Liam was practically a wizard.

“Three minutes to landing,” the pilot yelled over the loud house of wind whishing past our ears.

I nodded, getting my gun ready.

“Do you know how to use that thing?” Liam asked and I shrugged. A bit of practice here and there from my past life.

I used it to let off steam, especially in the early years after I married Jax and he started cheating on me. My trainer said that I had real talent and should join the warriors to form a sniper unit but I refused,

content with being Luna.

I must have really been an idiot.

“It cannot be that hard,” I said, wearing a small smile as the feeling of cold steel settled in my hands. I might not know how to fight well with my wolf since I never got much practice in my past life either but this was one that I understood well.

“Remain in the air and let me down slowly okay,” I said, opening the helicopter door. A blast of cold wind hit my face.

This was the most exhilarating thing I had done in my present and last life combined. From the door, I let out the long rope that was fastened securely to the floor of the jet.

Holding it with my gloved hand, I started to slowly lower down, one hand on the rope, the other on my

gun.

That was when the men who were transporting the real Sandra spotted me. I jumped onto the back of their truck and landed on top of the wooden box.

“Chloe. Chloe. Tell me you’re safe!” Liam yelled in my air through the earpiece. “Did you break something? Do we need to abort mission?”

“I’m fine and will remain fine if you do not stop talking.” He went silent and I let my wolf take over my

senses.
