That was the most prestigious seat in the entire room, usually reserved only for the closest, most highly regarded guests.
"Come, let me introduce you all," Mrs. Lyndon said with a bright smile. "This is the newest member of the Langford family, Lucian's wife, Seraphina."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Langford," the women chimed in, their attitudes significantly warmer than when they had greeted Sienna.
Seraphina smiled and responded to each of them, her demeanor perfectly balanced—neither arrogant nor overly humble.
Mrs. Lyndon personally poured her a cup of tea. "Try this. It's the Vintage 1998 Darjeeling Reserve. I've been saving it for nearly twenty years and rarely bring it out."
Seraphina took the cup with both hands, inhaled the aroma gently, and took a small sip.
"The color is a brilliant, deep amber, and it has a rich, sweet aftertaste. It's an exceptional blend," she said, setting the cup down with a warm smile.
Mrs. Lyndon's eyes sparkled even brighter. "You know your tea?"
"Just a little," Seraphina replied modestly. "My grandfather used to love a good brew, so I picked up a few things from him. I wouldn't dare show off in front of an expert like you."
"You're far too modest." Mrs. Lyndon was genuinely growing fonder of Seraphina by the second.
She had a calm, unpretentious nature that was completely free of arrogance.
The other women quickly agreed, and the atmosphere in the room instantly warmed up.
Sitting in the corner, Sienna gripped her teacup so tightly she nearly shattered it.
She had been forced to study tea etiquette for five grueling years under Zelda Gates, completely convinced that she was practically an expert.
Before coming today, she had even reviewed everything, planning to show off her skills and stun everyone at The Emerald Estate High Tea.
And the result?
Before she even had the chance to perform, Seraphina had completely stolen her thunder.
And worse, she had to admit that Seraphina's assessment was flawlessly accurate.
That wasn't something you could fake with a quick cram session.
Victoria's expression was looking equally grim.
She had brought Sienna here to show her face in high society, paving the way for her eventual entry into the Sullivan family.
