Sebastian gazed down at Sienna, who had collapsed onto the floor, his voice low and entirely devoid of emotion. "What exactly do you want me to believe?"
Sienna shook violently as she sobbed, reaching out to grasp the hem of his jacket.
Sebastian took a step back.
Sienna's hand froze in mid-air, fresh tears streaming down her face.
Sebastian shot her a fleeting glance, his tone laced with impatience. "Let's all just calm down for now."
Victoria retracted her gaze with evident satisfaction and turned to leave, only to realize her son hadn't followed.
She glanced back, following his line of sight.
Seraphina was sitting on a bench in the corridor, a man's coat draped over her shoulders, her baby bump slightly visible.
Lucian stood loyally by her side.
Sebastian simply stared at her, his eyes swirling with a mixture of bitter reluctance and profound regret.
Seeing this, Victoria's expression instantly darkened.
She hurried back, lowering her voice into a harsh whisper. "What are you looking at? Do you have no idea what Seraphina's status is now? That's Lucian Langford standing next to her. Do you really want to cross the Langford family?"
Sebastian remained silent.
Victoria's voice grew colder. "Keep your eyes to yourself."
Sebastian lowered his gaze. "I know, Mom."
Victoria finally breathed a sigh of relief. She turned and walked over to Lucian, offering a polite smile. "Mr. Langford, our family is well aware of what happened today. Mrs. Langford is completely innocent in all this."
Lucian gave a curt nod, offering no verbal reply.
Noticing his icy demeanor, Victoria tactfully grabbed Sebastian's arm and hurried away.
The corridor fell quiet.
Sienna was still slumped on the floor.
She turned her head to glare at Seraphina, but Seraphina didn't even spare her a glance.
It wasn't a deliberate snub; Seraphina genuinely couldn't care less.
Zelda rushed over to help her daughter up, keeping her voice low. "Let's go. We'll talk about this at home."
Samuel stood a few feet away, his face livid.
He cast a complicated look at Seraphina, opening his mouth as if to speak, but no words came out. Finally, he threw his hands up in frustration and stormed off.
The hallway was finally engulfed in total silence.
Seraphina sat on the bench, a protective hand resting gently over her subtle bump.
