My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 331

That evening, Lucian Langford returned home from the office.

The moment he walked through the door, he saw Seraphina Simmons standing in the living room in a stunning champagne dress, with Susan adjusting the waistline for her.

His footsteps faltered.

Hearing the noise, Seraphina turned her head and saw him standing in the foyer, his gaze fixed on her.

A faint blush crept up her cheeks.

"You're back? Grandma Eleanor had this sent over. What do you think?"

Lucian walked over, his eyes lingering on her stunning curves for a few seconds before he reached out and gently pulled her by the waist.

"It looks beautiful."

His voice was deep and magnetic.

Seraphina felt a little shy under his intense stare and lightly pushed against his chest. "Susan is still here."

Susan had already tactfully slipped away into the kitchen.

"There's no one else here," Lucian leaned down and murmured into her ear. "I'm just telling the truth. You look breathtaking in anything."

Seraphina's face flushed a deeper shade of pink. "What's gotten into you lately? You're becoming such a smooth talker."

"Am I? I'm just stating the facts." Lucian feigned innocence.

Looking at his completely serious expression, Seraphina felt both exasperated and amused.

This man was the aloof, untouchable Mr. Langford to outsiders, yet in front of her, he could deliver romantic lines with absolute confidence.

"Are the preparations for the gala tomorrow all set with Grandma Eleanor?" Seraphina shifted the topic.

"Pretty much," Lucian replied, releasing her to sit on the sofa.

"There are over five hundred guests. The banquet hall at the old manor can't fit everyone, so they've set up three massive tents in the yard and hired a specialized catering team to handle it."

"Over five hundred people..." Just thinking about it made Seraphina's head spin.

"You don't need to worry. Tomorrow, you just have to make an appearance with little Hudson, and I'll handle the rest." Lucian patted the space beside him, gesturing for her to sit.

Seraphina sat down and leaned her head against his shoulder.

"Won't you be exhausted entertaining so many people tomorrow?"
