My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 336

"Thank you, Howard," Lucian's gaze swept over Landon indifferently without adding another word.

Landon gave a slight nod. "Lucian."

The atmosphere between the two men wasn't exactly awkward, but it was miles away from brotherly warmth.

Howard clearly picked up on the tension, though he didn't comment on it. Instead, he smoothly played the peacemaker with a chuckle. "Both of you Langford boys are exceptionally successful. It's a testament to your family's incredible legacy. It truly makes the rest of us envious."

Neither Lucian nor Landon offered a response to the praise.

The heavy silence between the three was mercifully broken by a wave of laughter from the entrance as another group of elite guests arrived.

Lucian seized the moment. "Excuse me, Howard. I need to go greet the other guests."

With that, he turned and walked away.

Landon watched him leave, a flicker of something complex and unreadable flashing through his eyes.

"Your brother isn't simple," Howard murmured quietly.

Landon pulled his gaze back and offered a modest smile. "You're right, Howard. That's exactly why I'm always learning from him."

Howard glanced at him, a deeply meaningful smile touching his lips, but chose not to say anything else.

...

Upstairs on the second floor, Seraphina was in the middle of changing Little Bean's diaper.

Tiffany burst through the door like a hurricane, immediately making a beeline for the crib.

"Where is my godson? Where is he?"

Seraphina jumped slightly at the sudden noise. "Keep it down! He just woke up."

Tiffany leaned over the crib, staring at Little Bean's incredibly soft, flawless little face as if her eyes were about to pop out of her head.

"Oh my god, Sera! Your son is way too beautiful! This skin, these features... is this even a human face?"

Seraphina rolled her eyes in exasperation. "Can you please sound normal?"
