My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 395

"Grandma Eleanor, I'm going to go check on Evie," Seraphina said, turning toward the stairs.

Eleanor stopped playing with her great-grandson and looked at Seraphina with deep concern. "Seraphina... be careful. If she's in a highly volatile state, don't agitate her."

Noticing the door wasn't fully latched, she gave it a light push. It creaked open slightly.

Seraphina pushed it a little further.

She spoke through the gap. "Evie, if you're not going to answer, I'm taking that as an invitation to come in."

Seraphina stepped into the room.

She walked straight to the bed, where Evie lay curled into a tight ball, wearing headphones. Her face was deathly pale.

"Evie..."
