My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 509

Hearing Seraphina's thoughts, Little Bean mentally huffed. "Mommy, I'm not that childish. A premium bottle of formula is all it takes to make me happy."

Seraphina nearly burst into laughter again.

"You seriously must have been a class clown in your past life."

Little Bean looked genuinely puzzled. "What's a class clown? Does that mean someone who makes people happy?"

Seraphina paused. "...Yes."

Little Bean puffed out his chest. "Then I am definitely the best class clown."

Her shoulders were shaking slightly as she tried to suppress her giggles. "Let's... let's go."

Lucian looked at her, a flash of concern in his eyes. "Are you feeling alright?"

Snapping back to reality, she shook her head. "I'm fine."

She was just struggling to hold back her laughter.

The family headed out together and arrived at Langford Manor.

Lawrence and his family were also visiting today, sitting quietly in the grand living room.

The silence broke the moment Lucian and Seraphina walked in.

Charlene immediately stood up, plastering on a bright smile as she walked over to coo at the baby. "Oh, little one, you're finally here."

"Your mom and dad are just so busy. It took them until this late to finally come home from work."

She paused, letting the implication hang in the air. "Not like your uncle. He didn't have much to do today, so he came over bright and early."

Little Bean stared at Charlene, completely unimpressed. His inner voice echoed in Seraphina's mind, "That put-on act is so ridiculous it's actually funny."

Seraphina's lips twitched. "Where on earth do you learn these phrases?"

"From Susan," Little Bean replied proudly.

"Come here, sweetie. Let me take a look at you. Have you gained some weight?"

Charlene's smile faltered slightly.

She had intentionally tried to use baby talk to throw shade, but absolutely no one was taking the bait.
