Next Man, Better Plan novel Chapter 259

Cecilia, sitting in the audience, was absolutely losing her mind with excitement.

So were the viewers in the live chat. The online buzz reached an unprecedented peak.

With the heat and traffic they wanted, the host quickly delivered a few closing remarks, and the livestream was abruptly cut.

The broadcast ended unexpectedly at its climax, and netizens, their comments unfinished, flooded Twitter to continue the discussion.

Seeing Jonathan and Stephanie about to leave, Quennel acted on pure instinct and started to go after them.

But at that moment, his phone, tucked away in his pocket, suddenly rang.

Glancing at the caller ID, Quennel’s expression turned serious.

He put the phone to his ear. “Dad.”

Ternence’s voice boomed through the phone. “Quennel, what kind of stupid stunt are you pulling now?”

Ternence rarely paid attention to online gossip. He was in the middle of an important meeting with his top executives today.

But the online frenzy had been so massive that Verdant Grove Capital’s PR team had taken notice of the livestream.

No one had expected their newly appointed Vice President to publicly declare himself a third party in someone else’s marriage on a national broadcast.

Within minutes, the hashtag #VerdantGroveCapitalVPIsAHomewrecker shot to the top of Twitter's trending list, catching the PR team completely off guard.

The PR manager had burst into the boardroom, trembling as he reported the situation to Ternence.

After learning the full story, Ternence was so furious he immediately suspended the meeting and called Quennel.

He had to call three times before Quennel finally answered, but by then, the livestream was already over.

Everything had been broadcast, and there was no chance for damage control.

It was a complete embarrassment. The story would be the laughingstock of the business world.

Ternence was so angry his voice trembled over the phone.

Although Quennel was listening, his eyes were still scanning the area for Stephanie.

Because of this call, Stephanie and Jonathan had completely disappeared. He couldn't catch up to them now.

Quennel’s face was etched with disappointment.

He had only leaked the video of him carrying Stephanie from the hotel to make Jonathan back off. He never intended to hurt Stephanie.

But Stephanie might not see it that way.

An empty feeling settled in Quennel’s chest. Her misunderstanding of him was probably even deeper now.
