No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1285

Cedric immediately put the call on loudspeaker and asked, "Escaped? What do you mean that Xenia escaped? Wasn't she mentally unwell?"

"Yes, sir. Xenia had another mental episode during the New Year. When Ivy came to visit her, she had the doctors forcefully lock Xenia up as well. But according to the hospital's latest news, Xenia had really gone missing."

Noelle did not expect that Xenia could actually escape from the psychiatric hospital.

She herself never managed to escape from it in her past life.

If anything, Xenia was in a much better situation now than Noelle had been in her past life. Noelle was abandoned at the psychiatric hospital in her past life, while Xenia was being admitted there for treatment now. The conditions would undoubtedly be far better.

Noelle then said, "Have someone look for her. We must find Xenia before anyone else."

Cedric frowned and replied, "Why bother? She has no value to us anymore. Letting her die out there would be the karma she deserves."

Just thinking of what Xenia had done to Noelle in the past made him extremely upset.

He had not done anything to Xenia because the lawsuit was not over yet back then.

After that, he lost his chance for revenge when Xenia faked her death during childbirth and was taken away by Ivy.

Cedric was even thinking about sending some of his men to track down and finish Xenia off.

Noticing his cold expression, Noelle explained, "She's Ivy's daughter, after all. She'll serve as leverage if we can capture her. If Ivy ever turns on us, we'll at the very least have a bargaining chip on our hands."

Ivy was not an easy opponent. It would be wise to remain cautious until the very end.

Cedric replied, "If Ivy really cared about Xenia, she would've sent Xenia abroad in secret. Why bother leaving Xenia in a psychiatric hospital? It's clearly because Ivy doesn't want her daughter interfering in her life."

"You have a point. But if we can somehow make use of Xenia, we might be able to use her against Ivy."

Noelle came up with a vague plan. She looked at Cedric and continued, "Xenia's child was sent to the Parham family, right?"

"I think so. No one really cared about where exactly the child went."

Ivy was in the middle of packing up in preparation to send Eason abroad.

Her mood was instantly soured after listening to Owen's report. She could not understand why Xenia would leave the psychiatric hospital when she was supposed to be receiving treatment there.

Owen explained, "Boss, Xenia has seen you before. If the Liddell family got to her first, your identity would be exposed."

"She shouldn't be that dumb at the very least, but we can't be careless regardless. Send out our men to find her before anyone else does. The hospital is in quite a remote location, so she won't be making it into the city anytime soon."

Owen nodded and left.

Just then, Mia walked over and asked, "Ivy, what's wrong? You don't look so good."

She reckoned that Ivy already knew that Xenia had escaped.

Ivy replied, "It's nothing. I'm just a little worried since I'm sending Eason abroad all by himself."
