Noelle stayed in her parents' room for a while before leaving and closing the door behind her. She could hear Xenia crying from the other room, clearly unhappy about the sudden change of plans.
Noelle was now in a great mood. She would always be happy whenever Xenia was upset.
She stared at Xenia's room for a while. There was nothing left for Xenia to be happy about once tomorrow arrived.
Noelle returned to her own room and locked the door behind her.
She checked her room carefully to confirm that there were no surveillance devices planted within before giving Tilly a call. "Is everything all set? Donovan will be transferring the money tomorrow."
"Everything's all set. As soon as Xenia embezzles the funds, we'll trace the account and catch the person behind the scenes," Tilly replied.
"Good. The president of PZ Group will also be attending the wedding tomorrow. It will be the perfect chance to investigate him."
"Really? That's great news! I'll report to Mr. Greene right away and prepare for the necessary arrangements."
Noelle fell silent for a moment when she heard Tilly mention Cedric. "Alright."
She never planned to keep any of these a secret from Cedric anyway. Perhaps her plan would go even smoother with his help.
Noelle hung up the call and stared up at the ceiling. Everything was ready.
…
The next day, Noelle slept in and woke up late. She could hear noises coming from downstairs. After getting dressed, she headed downstairs to find a bunch of wedding dresses laid out in the living room.
Xenia had a sour expression on her face. "These are just sample dresses from the studio! It's nothing like my custom-made one! If my friends were to see me in these, they're going to laugh at me for sure!"
Xenia was so furious that she never managed to get any sleep last night. Noelle had shredded her custom-made wedding dress to pieces, after all. Just thinking about it made Xenia's heart ache.
Wyatt was trying to console her. "Xenia, I've already sent someone to look for another one, but there's no guarantee that we can find another given how much time we have left. You need to pick one of these as a backup for now."
"I don't want any of these! They all look so cheap! It doesn't even match my status at all!"
Wyatt pointed toward Noelle's face and scolded, "You damaged someone's belongings! You need to pay for it!"
Frank walked over and asked, "There's not much time left. What are you arguing about?"
"Frank, isn't Noelle good friends with Mr. Greene? With the Greene family's connections, it shouldn't be hard to get our hands on a limited-edition wedding dress, no?" Wyatt replied.
Xenia immediately lit up with excitement. "Exactly! If Mr. Greene would help us out, this problem would be easily solved!"
Frank fell silent for a short while before turning to Noelle. "Noelle, why don't you talk to Mr. Greene about this?"
Noelle laughed out loud, her eyes filled with mockery. She replied coldly, "Why should I? You guys just tried to take over my parents' room.
"You know just how temperamental I am, and yet you still chose to cross the line. You brought this upon yourselves!"
Xenia lowered her head and started to cry, cursing out at Noelle thousands of times in her heart. All of this happened because a housekeeper had gone into the room and got caught by Noelle.
