No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 728

As expected, the Liddell family was full of awful people. Xenia was determined to make them pay.

The second payment today was even larger than the first. She could finally break free from the Liddells as long as she got her hands on it. Thus, Xenia had no choice but to swallow her pride and fall silent immediately.

Noelle grinned at this. It really was satisfying to build happiness on someone else's misery. She headed straight to the dining room to eat.

Outside, Xenia was still pestering Wyatt to find a way to get her a new designer white dress. Frank walked into the dining room with a complicated look. "Noelle, was that really necessary?"

Noelle countered, "Don't you know I'm a petty person?"

Frank was speechless. He knew now that most of his past misunderstandings were caused by Xenia stirring up trouble.

Noelle wasn't actually like that.

Donovan's angry voice rang out, "Since you're admitting to it, then you should take responsibility!"

He had just returned from the office and was furious upon hearing about what Noelle did.

Noelle set down her spoon. "And what should I take responsibility for?"

"I know everything! How can you go back on your word? Xenia apologized, but you still weren't satisfied. And now you would rather destroy the dress!"

Donovan thought Xenia was exaggerating. But he was stunned to hear Noelle admitting it. When did she become so unreasonable?

Noelle had expected Donovan to come and accuse her, so she responded calmly, "Isn't this what you always thought of me? Haven't you always said that about me since I was a child? Now I'm finally acting the way you described, and you're still not happy?"

Noelle hadn't done any of those things as a kid. But once Xenia smeared her name, everything was pinned on her. Now, Noelle figured she might as well admit to it all rather than being used again and again.

Donovan was angry beyond words.

Frank quickly tried to smooth things over. "Donovan, let it go. There's a lot going on today. No need to fuss over the little things."

Donovan took the opportunity to back down. Noelle was being too arrogant. There was no way she would back down that easily.

He snorted. "At least Xenia is capable of handling an important position at the Liddell Corporation. What about you?"

After reading the message, Noelle instantly felt much better. After finishing her meal, she headed back to her room as if what had happened had nothing to do with her.

Then, she got a call from Cedric. "Do you want me to send you another dress?"

Noelle chuckled. "No need. That bitch doesn't deserve to see me in a good dress. I already picked out what to wear."

Cedric thought for a second. "I've already made arrangements. That bitch won't be able to get the designer wedding dress she wants. And even if she somehow gets it, I'll make sure she can't wear it tonight."

Noelle laughed. It was no wonder Xenia couldn't get her hands on a single dress. Cedric had been behind it all.

Considering Donovan's status and wealth, buying a luxurious white dress shouldn't have been difficult. But in the end, Xenia still didn't get one.

That served her right. It must have felt like hell for someone like Xenia.

Just then, Tilly's voice came through Cedric's phone, "Xenia already transferred the money."

Noelle's breath was caught in her throat. The opportunity had arrived.
