Chapter 260 Take Good Care of Her
Warmth spread through Amelia’s chest again.

Being quietly remembered, carefully looked after without a fuss–this was a feeling she hadn’t experienced in a long time.
Soon, the assistant brought over another pair of shoes.
Amelia slipped them on and took a few steps across the soft carpet. The comfort made her smile in satisfaction.
Still, when she looked at herself in the mirror–wearing a grand mermaid gown with flat shoes -she couldn’t help but laugh.
“A gown with flats … that’s a pretty bold combo. Won’t people make fun of me?”
“What is fashion, really?” Mason looked at her calmly and asked in a serious tone. “It’s just a group of people making rules, and another group following them. As long as you can convince yourself and have enough confidence, even the strangest match can become a trend–setting
statement.”
Seeing how serious he looked, Amelia really wanted to say, Mr. Everett, I didn’t know you knew this much about fashion.
But she chickened out and swallowed the comment.
With everything ready, the sky outside the window slowly filled with warm sunset colors.
Miles walked in and said politely, “Mr. Everett, Ms. Harlow, it’s about time. We can prepare to leave.”
Amelia nodded and looked up at Mason, asking naturally, “Are you coming with me?”
“Tim will take you there,” Mason said as he gently fixed a loose strand of hair by her temple. The movement was smooth and natural. “I’ll arrive later after I finish the last bit of work.”
After thinking it over, Amelia agreed this made more sense.
Even if Stardale Group wasn’t officially under Mason’s name, everyone in the industry knew he was the real power behind it. At his level, wherever he went, hosts treated him like the main
event.
If he showed up with a brand–new designer like her, it might actually lower his status.
Arriving separately fit his position better.

“All right.” Amelia nodded in understanding. She looked up at him, a bright smile spreading across her face, half serious as she said, “I’ll go in first and try not to embarrass you.”
“You just need to be yourself,” Mason said softly, meeting her lively gaze.
Her own aura was already bright enough. She didn’t need anyone else to make her shine.
As soon as the words fell, the sound of an engine rose from the terrace outside the estate.
A Rolls–Royce pulled to a smooth stop at the front.
Tim stepped out and opened the rear door.
Amanda, dressed in a short formal dress, hopped out of the wide back seat. When she lifted her head and saw the estate bathed in sunset light–grand and majestic, like a classic castle–her eyes went wide.
She let out an exaggerated gasp, pointing at everything in front of her, her voice jumping in pitch. “Oh my God… So while I was gone, Amelia ran off to live in a castle and become a princess?!”
As she spoke, her gaze finally shifted from the estate to Amelia walking out through the door. Then her gasp turned into a sharp inhale.
“A–Am… Amelia?” Amanda rubbed her eyes, almost unable to believe what she was seeing.
The Amelia in front of her wore a deep ocean–blue gown that sparkled like starlight. The diamond necklace at her neck shone with blinding brilliance. She looked like a mermaid stepped out of a myth–so elegant and noble that even her assistant, who saw her every day, felt a strange sense of distance.
Amelia laughed at her dramatic reaction and shook her head. “You and your mouth.”
Amanda rushed over in a few quick steps and circled Amelia, clicking her tongue in amazement. “You’re seriously stunning.”
Tim, standing nearby, let out a whistle.
Not holding back at all, he winked at Amelia. “Amazing! Just look at that presence. No wonder you’re representing Stardale. You’re totally going to own the room!”
Just then, Mason stepped out from inside.
The moment he appeared, the light, lively mood seemed to freeze, as if someone had hit
pause.

Amanda’s chatter stopped at once. Even Tim’s easy grin pulled back, turning more proper.
Mason hadn’t changed into formal wear. He was still in his casual home clothes.
He stood quietly in the shadow of the doorway, his calm gaze resting on Amelia. Only then did he lift his eyes to Tim.
“Take good care of her,” he said evenly, his voice cool. “Her leg hasn’t fully healed. Don’t let her stand too long, and don’t let her drink.”
The way he spoke was careful and thorough. It didn’t sound like an order to a subordinate. It sounded like a personal request.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Everett,” Tim replied at once, his tone steady and sincere. “I promise I’ll bring Ms. Harlow back safe and sound.”
