Amelia’s gaze slowly swept from Ethan to Hannah, the mockery at the corner of her lips deepening.

“I know you care about your image, Mr. Rowe. You never wanted to make this public because you were afraid it would affect your career. That’s why I planned for us to part quietly once the waiting period ended, each of us going our own way. I never even thought about taking a single dollar from Rowe Group.”

Her voice paused, then turned sharp. “But I never expected you to get ahead of me and hold a press conference, using such cheap and disgusting tactics to smear me.”

With that, Amelia stopped looking at him and calmly faced the reporters.

“To all the media here, the so called photos of me cheating during my marriage and hugging another man are complete nonsense.”

She began to refute the accusations point by point, her logic clear and steady. “First of all, the photo was taken after Mr. Rowe and I had already signed the divorce agreement. From that moment on, I was legally single. If a single woman gives a friend a polite hug, does that really deserve to be dragged out and judged by the public? And secondly…”

Her eyes sharpened even more. “If you are so certain that I cheated, then bring real evidence. Don’t rely on a single photo that can be interpreted however you want. If you can’t produce any of that and still want to convict me based on one hug, then should I assume that every time I attend a dinner with international friends and follow their greeting customs, I’m surrounded by lovers?”

As Amelia spoke, realization finally hit Ethan.

About a month earlier, Amelia had indeed come to him with a stack of company documents for his signature.

At the time, he had been convinced she loved him deeply. No matter what he did, he believed she would at most throw a tantrum or sulk for a while. He never thought she would, or even dare to, consider divorce,

According to the law, after the waiting period, both parties were supposed to be present to finalize the divorce.

How did she do it?

Ethan’s pupils dilated in shock. He opened his mouth, but it felt like an invisible hand had wrapped around his throat. Not a single word came out.

Amelia didn’t wait for his answer.

“Because,” she said slowly, “I secretly collected a large amount of evidence of you and Hannah. Photos. Videos. Enough to apply to the court for a forced divorce ruling. That’s far more solid than standing here trying to convict someone with nothing but words.”

A cruel curve formed at the corner of her lips as she delivered the final blow.

“So tell me. Do you want me to show those pieces of evidence to everyone right now?”

Hannah practically screamed the word, her carefully maintained fragile, innocent mask shattering in an instant.
