Inside the trailer, Amelia waited alone.

She picked up her phone almost out of habit and opened her WhatsApp.

Pinned at the top was Mason’s profile picture.

The latest message was still the one he’d sent last night before bed.

Since then, he hadn’t reached out.

Amelia frowned slowly.

Was he just too busy today to contact her?

He raised an eyebrow lazily. “Was I off before?”

“Oh, no,” the makeup artist hurried to explain, smiling. “You’re always professional. It’s just… today there’s something extra. Did something good happen?”

“Yeah.” Henry closed his eyes as she dusted setting powder across his eyelids. There was a faint smile in his voice. “I’m just tired. Want to finish quickly and get back to the hotel.”

Henry politely thanked the crew, then, escorted by Tyler, walked quickly back to his trailer.

He paused as he opened the door.

Outside, the usual clatter of equipment being packed up and noisy voices filled the air.

Inside, Amelia was slumped over the small table, fast asleep.

Her face looked peaceful, the tense, distant guard she always carried completely gone. She looked like a lazy, contented cat curled up in the sun.

Without warning, Henry’s heart skipped a beat.

He instinctively slowed his steps and walked quietly to the table.

Almost on autopilot, he pulled out his phone, about to snap a quick photo. But at that exact moment, the trailer door burst open.

“I’m back!”

Lily charged in, juggling several shopping bags, her voice instantly shattering the quiet.

Amelia jerked awake, blinking in confusion, clearly still half asleep.

Henry, however, calmly slid his phone back into his pocket, a flicker of irritation crossing his mind at being interrupted.

“Oh! You’re back!” Lily’s eyes lit up when she saw Henry. She thrust one of the bags toward him. “Mr. Superstar, here is your disguise kit! Trust me, nobody would recognize you in this!”

At the same time, she nudged the still–dazed Amelia with her other hand.

Henry eyed the bag skeptically. It looked cheap. He frowned as he reached in and pulled out

two items.

The first was a dull, old–fashioned jacket, the kind that screamed “bumpkin,” complete with faded gold lettering across the chest.
