Chapter 357 Steam and Silence
Finis
After that, she didn’t want to hear another word of his wild shouting. She ended the call at on and blocked the number.
The world finally went quiet.
Just then, the sound of running water came from the bathroom.
Amelia let out a long breath and was about to sit down when the bathroom door opened a crack.
Mason leaned out and called her name.
“Amelia.”
“Yeah?”
His voice sounded sexy through the steam. “Can you get me a T–shirt from my suitcase?”
Amelia’s cheeks warmed, but she still answered without thinking.
“Okay.”
After she agreed, her face felt even hotter, as if the steam from the bathroom had reached her.
She took a deep breath and walked to the black hard–shell suitcase by the wall.
It was Mason’s suitcase. Simple lines. Quiet style. Just like him.
She crouched down, unlocked it, and popped the lid open.
Amelia froze for a moment.
Everything inside was incredibly neat.
T–shirts, button–down shirts, and casual pants were sorted by type, folded into perfect squares, and stacked in clean rows.
Even the socks were rolled into pairs and tucked neatly into a small pouch in the corner.
She carefully pulled out a black cotton T–shirt.
Amelia was about to close the suitcase. Something small slipped out with the shirt and landed softly on a dark shirt beside it.

It was a pair of underwear.
Black boxers. Folded just as neatly.
When Amelia saw it, her mind seemed to hit pause.
The size looked kind of big.
She jerked her hand back as if burned, but her eyes wouldn’t move away.
Her thoughts started to drift, messy and embarrassing.
The size…
She honestly didn’t know before.
But now, she had a vague idea.
Too many things rushed into her head at once.

His forceful kiss earlier. His calm but suggestive, “I’m going to shower.” And now this quiet piece of black fabric lying there. All of it connected, forming a tight net of heat and tension tha wrapped around her. There was nowhere to escape.
She felt light, like she was floating. Her heart raced so fast it felt like it might jump out of her throat.
Flustered, she stuffed the underwear back where it belonged, covered it with a few shirts, and snapped the suitcase shut, as if hiding a guilty secret.
Holding the T–shirt, Amelia walked toward the bathroom in a daze.
The door was still only open a crack. The steady sound of water spilled out, mixed with soft splashes when he moved. In the quiet room, every sound felt clear and impossible not to imagine.
“Mason, your clothes…” Her voice wavered.
Through the narrow gap of the door, a long, strong arm reached out.
It was a beautiful hand, with clear knuckles, long fingers.
It had just been wet. Under the light, the firm lines of muscle stood out even more. A few veins showed faintly, and several clear drops of water clung to his skin, sliding slowly along the curve of his arm.
It was only a hand, yet it carried a powerful presence and something undeniably attractive.

Chapter 357 Steam and Silence
* Finished
Amelia’s breath caught.
She hurriedly passed the T–shirt to him. Her fingertips brushed his cool fingers by accident. The touch felt like a small spark, shooting from her fingers through her whole body.
He took the shirt. His hand withdrew, and the bathroom door closed again.
Amelia stood there for a long moment, unable to move.
She scolded herself for being so horny. Just one look at a man’s hand had made her blush, her heart race, and her legs go weak.
Amelia turned away from the bathroom and dropped onto the soft bed. But the restless feeling did not fade at all.
She pressed a hand to her chest. Her heart was still pounding, and she felt short of breath.
The room was warm, but she knew her burning face had nothing to do wi… the heater.
About ten minutes later, the bathroom door opened again.
Mason walked out.
He had changed into the black T–shirt she had handed him, paired with loose, matching pants.
The dark fabric made his skin look even lighter and showed off his broad shoulders and narrow
waist.
His hair was dry now. Soft brown strands fell loosely over his forehead, covering his usual sharp edge. He looked clean and relaxed, like a college athlete who had just finished a game and still had endless energy.
He saw Amelia sitting on the bed, staring blankly at him. Her eyes were glossy, fixed on him, still filled with a lingering haze she hadn’t managed to hide yet.
