No Sex for Six Years Because of Her? I’m Done!
Chapter 374 Tell Me the Truth
Nora pulled Amelia into another conversation.
“Amelia, what are you planning to do afterward?” she asked with concern.

Amelia quickly set her water down and replied seriously “I’m starting at Stardale Group in a few days. All the paperwork is done. For now, I want to focus on my job.”
“Work matters.” Nora nodded, then her eyes sparkled with curiosity. “But what about romance? Are you thinking of dating again? I never liked Ethan much. If you don’t have anyone in mind, I can introduce a few! I guarantee I can find men way better than Ethan and let you take your pick!”
Amelia was totally unprepared for that and choked.
Before she could catch her breath, a glass of warm water was placed in front of her.
Her face burned as she coughed. Without thinking, she grabbed the glass and drank several big sips..
The warm, slightly sweet water went down smoothly and finally soothed her throat.
“Thanks…” she said breathlessly, putting the glass back.
That was when she noticed how quiet the living room had become.
Nora and Evan were both staring at her oddly.
Amelia’s mind went blank.
She finally realized she had just casually drunk from Mason’s glass!
And she’d done it without even thinking.
She was done.
“I…” she hurried to explain. “I didn’t-”
Before she could finish, Nora jumped in, staring at her closely. “Amelia, tell me the truth. Do you have a boyfriend?”
Everything seemed to slow down.
Amelia’s heart raced. She knew this was the

All she had to do was gather her courage and nod, and everything would be settled.
She could even feel Mason’s gaze locked onto her from across the room, carrying anticipation.
But…
That familiar fear hit her again at the worst time.
She chickened out.
Like a deflated balloon, she chose the safest possible answer.

“…No.”
Her head dropped, and even she could hear the guilt in her voice.
The moment the word fell, she clearly felt the gaze from across the table sharpen.
“Don’t talk so much while eating.” Mason’s voice was cold and flat.
He was clearly unhappy with her reply.
At last, the awkward dinner came to an end.
Soon, the maids brought out a plate of cut fruit in the living room.
Nora continued chatting warmly with Amelia, while Evan listened with a gentle smile and added comments now and then. On the surface, everything seemed peaceful.
But the heavy silence from across the room made Amelia feel extremely uncomfortable.
Mason didn’t say another word. He sat there in silence, his deep eyes fixed thoughtfully on some spot on the coffee table. His handsome profile was tense.
She knew he was angry.
He was angry that she’d backed out and said “no” at the most important moment.
Finally, he stood up.
“I have work to do,” he said coolly, then turned and went straight to the study upstairs.
Once he left, the room seemed to breathe again.
But Amelia’s heart felt weighed down.
She picked up a slice of watermelon and ate it absentmindedly. It tasted sweet, yet her eyes kept drifting toward the closed study door upstairs. Her thoughts were a mess, filled with Mason’s unhappy face.
“Amelia? What are you daydreaming about?” Nora’s voice snapped her back.
“Huh? Oh–nothing,” Amelia replied, forcing a smile.
She sat there distracted for a while, barely listening as Nora excitedly talked about tomorrow’s shopping plans.
“I had a long flight today. I’m pretty tired. I think I’ll go rest,” Amelia said, finding an excuse as she stood.
“Yes, you should get some proper rest,” Nora said immediately, her face full of concern. “Go on.”
Amelia nodded, said goodnight to Nora and Evan, and hurried upstairs.
Once her figure disappeared around the corner of the staircase, Nora’s smile slowly faded.
She looked at Evan, sighed, and chuckled.
“These two act like they’re in some sort of spy drama.”

Evan smiled gently and handed her a piece of mango. “Mom, give them time. You know Mason, and Amelia just got back. It’s normal for her to be uneasy.”
“I know,” Nora said, taking the mango and lightly complaining. “I just find it amusing. Did you see Mason’s face? Dark as night. Only Amelia can deal with him.”
