Chapter 419 When Waiting Ends
The next second, Amelia feet left the ground. Mason lifted her easily in his arms.
She wrapped her arms tight around his neck and buried her face against his shoulder.
The room was dark. Amelia couldn’t see where they were going. She could only feel the world moving fa around her.
She felt like a small boat that had drifted for years, finally reaching a safe harbor. She was willing to place everything she had into his hands.
Soon, her back touched something soft.
The world spun. Mason rolled over and trapped her gently between himself and the mattress.
He didn’t press down right away. He held himself up with his arms on both sides of her, leaving her a littl space to breathe.
A few thin lines of light slipped through the curtains, outlining his sharp jaw.
His breathing was still rough and warm. His eyes shone brightly in the dark, like a hunter who had finally caught what he wanted–dangerous, but satisfied.
Neither of them spoke. The air was filled only with uneven breathing and fast heartbeats.
After a while, Mason let out a low laugh.
He nudged her nose gently with his and teased in a quiet voice, “You’re such a scaredy cat. I waited so long, and you didn’t even dare to come kiss me.”
His words reminded Amelia of the terrible excuse she had made earlier.
Heat rushed through her body again.
She turned her head stubbornly and argued back, “I still kissed you in the end, didn’t I?”
Her voice was soft and weak, not convincing at all.
“Yeah,” Mason said with a low chuckle. His voice slowly grew deeper and rougher. “So…”
His warm fingers gently brushed her burning cheek. From her cheek, they slowly slid to her sensitive car. His thumb rubbed lightly against her earlobe.
His eyes darkened even more.
“I’m going to do something worse to you now.
“Are you ready?”
This time, Amelia clearly felt a strong danger coming from him.

Chapter 419 When Waiting Ends
Finished
It was the feeling of a man who had held back his emotions for too long. It was his deep, honest desire for the woman he loved.
And deep down, this was exactly what Amelia wanted, too.
All the misunderstandings, all the waiting–they finally reached an ending here.
Amelia didn’t pull back anymore.
She met his gaze, the kind that felt like it could pull her in completely. She lifted her arms and wrapped them tightly around Mason’s neck. Soft, warm, holding on.
She pulled him a little closer and pressed a light kiss to the corner of his lips.
“If it’s you… then it’s okay.”
With Amelia’s permission, Mason’s last bit of control finally broke.
He stopped holding back. He lowered himself and kissed her again, deeper and hotter than before.
Outside, the winter storm seemed to feel the mood inside. The wind and snow slammed harder against the windows, like music playing as they fell into each other.
As their quiet whispers grew warmer, the air in the room did too. It felt thick and heavy, filled with tension that made hearts race and faces burn.
Before this, Amelia had thought it might be tiring.
But she never imagined it would be this exhausting.
It felt like throwing herself into a never–ending ocean storm. Waves crashed over her again and again, pulling her up and down. Her mind floated between happiness and weightlessness, while her body lost every last bit of strength.
By the time she finally fell asleep close to midnight, she didn’t wake again until bright sunlight filled the
room.
When her awareness slowly returned, Amelia didn’t open her eyes right away.
The first thing she felt was soreness all over her body. Especially her waist. It didn’t feel like it was hers. Even the smallest movement pulled up memories that made her blush.
She froze. Last night’s messy, blurry moments rushed back into her mind like a wave.
Mason’s eyes turned red when he lost control.
