No Sex for Six Years Because of Her? I'm Done novel Chapter 543

Chapter 543 Truths Left Half Told

I was in a hurry and got up to leave right away. Leigh stopped me to ask what happened, and webumped into each other by accident. That must have been when the perfume got on me.

But to Amelia, the explanation only sounded absurd.

She slowly turned to look at him. Is that really all it was? Tim, can you look me in the eye and say noth has started up again between you two?

Tim gave a bitter smile, his voice thick with weariness. How is it that even you are asking me that?

Clearly, Lily had already confronted him with the same question.

Amelia let out a silent, cold laugh to herself. From the look on his face alone, it was obvious Lily’s suspicions hadn’t come out of nowhere.

With the way you’ve handled this, it’s hard not to doubt you,” Amelia said flatly. Tim, let me remind yo of something. At work, you may be my boss. But as Lily’s friend, I have to tell you this. If she wakes up a finds out she’s pregnant under these circumstances, her emotional state could be very bad. I don’t need explain to you how important a pregnant woman’s emotions are.

Tim had already thought of that. The moment he imagined Lily waking up, catching the scent of Leigh perfume on him, and then learning she was pregnant, he could almost see the disaster unfolding.

The bitterness on his face deepened. He nodded. I know.

He looked toward Lily’s room, his expression unreadable.

In the end, he turned back to Amelia and said, You’re right. She can’t see me like this. Please stay here ar watch over her for now. I’ll go back to the hotel, change, and come right back.

With that, he turned and walked away, his steps unsteady. Under the harsh lights of the empty corridor, even his back looked shaken and defeated.

But Amelia’s instincts told her it was not that simple. She took out her phone and called Mason.

It rang for a long time before he answered. His voice came through, lazy with sleepiness. Amelia? It’s late. What happened?

Mason, I need to ask you something. Did Tim have a girlfriend overseas before, someone named Leigh?

There was a pause on the other end, as if Mason were searching his memory.

A moment later, he said slowly, Leigh? Ohright, I remember now. I wouldn’t say they were that close. but yes, there was someone by that name. She chased after Tim pretty hard back then. More of a bad romantic entanglement than anything else.

Then his tone sharpened. Why? Did you run into her there?

Amelia’s heart sank. Because Tim hadn’t mentioned that part at all.

Chapter 543 Truths Left Half Told

She told Mason everything that had happened over the past two days, from beginning to end.

Finishe

Lily is pregnant now. But Tim showed up smelling like Leigh’s perfumeI just have a bad feeling this is going to turn ugly.

Amelia, don’t jump to the worst conclusion yet.Mason seemed to sense her anxiety even through the phone, and his voice softened. Don’t underestimate the resilience of a woman who’s decided to become mother, especially when that woman is Lily. She’s proud and independent. She could carry the sky on he own if she had to. A child won’t break her. It’ll only make her stronger.

Then he shifted gears. But as for LeighI can tell you this much for sure. She is absolutely not some unforgettable woman Tim has secretly kept in his heart.

As for the rest, that’s between them. Tim needs to clean up his own mess and tell Lily the truth himself. We’re friends, not family. There’s a limit to how deeply we should interfere.

Mason’s words carried a great deal, yet stopped just short of saying everything.

Amelia felt as though she had been yanked up from the bottom of a plunge. She was still suspended in uncertainty, but at least now she could see a faint glimmer of light.

Got it, Mason, she said softly. The heavy stone in her chest finally felt as if it had shifted a little.

After hanging up, she let out a long breath and turned to go back to Lily’s room. Just then, a nurse leaned out from the station and waved to her.

Miss, your friend is awake.

Amelia moved at once, hurrying toward the room.

The moment she pushed open the door, she instinctively softened her movements. Only a single bedside amp was on, casting the room in a dim, gentle glow.

Lily was awake, just as the nurse had said, propped halfway up against the headboard.

She had just come through emergency treatment, and her face was pale, making her look nothing like the formidable queen she usually was.
