No Sex for Six Years Because of Her? I'm Done novel Chapter 94

**TITLE: My Heart Waited Too Long and Choosing Freedom**
**Chapter 94: She Lies to Me**

Mason’s voice sliced through the air, a chill creeping into his tone. “I did try to stop you,” he declared, his eyes narrowing with a mix of disappointment and anger. “But I failed to intervene in time.”

He took a moment, as if gathering his thoughts, before continuing, “And let’s be clear: we are not siblings anymore. I haven’t been your brother for a long time.”

Amelia felt a fog cloud her memory; the events of the previous night were elusive, slipping through her fingers like sand.

Yet, deep down, she understood Mason’s character intimately. He was a man of integrity, one who would never fabricate a story, especially one as serious as this.

The only conclusion she could draw was that, under the influence of that insidious drug from last night, she must have crossed a boundary she never intended to breach.

But there was one undeniable truth: Mason had someone special in his heart.

He had chosen not to exploit her vulnerability. He had restrained himself, maintaining a boundary out of respect for the woman he loved.

In doing so, he had safeguarded the last remnants of her dignity, a realization that crashed over Amelia like a tidal wave, leaving her gasping for air. It felt as though she had desecrated something pure and beautiful.

Without thinking, she sprang from the couch, her sudden movement nearly colliding with Mason, who was still half-seated.

Instinctively, Amelia recoiled, taking a few hurried steps back. She bent deeply, almost in a frantic bow, her voice trembling under the weight of her guilt. “I’m so sorry, Mr. Everett! I truly didn’t mean to! I wasn’t in control of my actions.”

“It was all that ridiculous soup, that absurd drug!” she continued, her words tumbling out in a rush. “If this leads to any misunderstandings—if it causes any issues for you or anyone else—I swear I’ll clarify everything. There’s absolutely nothing between us!”

Her frantic ramblings were a desperate attempt to create distance, to deflect the blame onto the drug that had altered her state of mind.

But Mason’s expression darkened, shadows flickering in his eyes.

A flash of anger ignited within him as he forced the words through gritted teeth. “Not in control, huh? That’s a clever excuse.”

Just then, a sharp ringtone shattered the thick tension hanging in the air, echoing from the bedroom upstairs.

For Amelia, it felt like a lifeline thrown into turbulent waters.

She quickly uttered another breathless apology, her heart racing, and darted toward the stairs as if fleeing the scene of a crime.

**11:37 AM, Saturday, December 13**

Amelia rushed into her room, her heart pounding. It was a call from Ethan.

Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she answered the phone, her mind racing.

As soon as the line connected, Ethan’s voice erupted from the receiver, seething with fury. “Amelia, where on earth are you? Who were you with last night?”

His rapid-fire questions only added to the chaos swirling in her mind.

Did she not fear that he might lose control and seek comfort in another woman?

Or was it that she simply didn’t care?

Ethan’s anger flared anew. He slammed his hand down on the steering wheel, igniting the engine, and sped toward home, his mind consumed with thoughts of Amelia, oblivious to his work obligations.

Upon entering the house, he was taken aback to find Grace still sitting in the living room, sipping her tea with an air of calmness.

She glanced up, her expression shifting as soon as she noticed his dark demeanor. “Ethan, weren’t you supposed to see Amelia? Where is she?”

Ethan was acutely aware of the tension between his mother and Amelia.

If Grace learned of the events from last night, she would undoubtedly place all the blame on Amelia, exacerbating an already volatile situation.

So, even amid his fury, he found himself crafting a protective lie. “Amelia received an urgent call from a client,” he said tightly, forcing the words out. “They needed some design alterations, so she went back to the studio to work through the night.”

Grace raised an eyebrow, skepticism etched on her face. “Is that so? She must be incredibly dedicated to her work.”

Just then, Hannah descended the stairs with Isla in tow. Her voice was soft and gentle, but the words she spoke were laced with a deliberate sharpness. “Oh? What kind of client would need measurements changed so urgently?”

She paused, letting the question hang in the air, before adding with feigned concern, “Ethan, are you sure she didn’t go out to meet someone else?” Her tone dripped with innocence, yet the underlying implication was clear. She was trying to sow seeds of doubt, aiming to make both Ethan and Grace believe that Amelia had sought the company of another man. If she could stoke enough anger, the inevitable explosion would occur—exactly what she desired.
