They all heard it; a full roar of aggression from a female alpha. Hailey and Austin were gone in the blink of an eye, it still shocked her just how fast those two could move, pure bloods freaking fastest thing in their world on two legs.

They were gone before anyone else even had the chance to get out of their seats, and then there was just a scream of pain ripping through the pack, and every one of them got up and were on the move, tracking the commotion to the back of the packhouse.

She saw a she-wolf coming this way, clutching at her chest, and Marrian peeled off to attend to her. They’d all heard Ana tell them Londyn had scented out Yuri, it was likely that she-wolf had just latched onto Yuri and Londyn or her wolf had lost it completely.

Outside, both the Gamma’s had their hands on Londyn, and Yuri looked more than confused to her. Slade she heard state “A she-wolf.”

“Terry.” Yuri interrupted him. “Her name is Terry.”

Slade looked at his Delta and then back to the wolfen council, all now looking to him for answers as to what happened. “Approached Yuri, she’s his old girlfriend, I believe, and Londyn didn’t like it.” Slade sighed, she knew he had to choose his words carefully right this minute because Yuri had no idea about Londyn,” She punched Terry, and Yuri went to help her up.”

It was as they all suspected, only it had also gone a step further. Yuri had gone to the aid of his previous girlfriend, likely to still be attracted to him and only not together because he wasn’t in the pack. She’d just come to see him, which unwittingly set off Londyn and her wolf’s possessiveness over her unclaimable mate.

She looked at Hailey and Austin, they were both frowning deeply, Austin was right there next to Zara and Londyn, they were nearly part of his pack. He looked at them as part of his pack and she knew it.

“On it.” he nodded and turned to go and get one.

She looked at Austin, “Where is Sloan?” she asked, knew these four she-wolves were actually Sloan’s, they lived on a slice of Kitsune land the council themselves had granted was an extension of the Willow Moon Pack. This could potentially be a problem.

“Sleeping, I closed all the doors and windows so she could get proper rest, is easily tired out by carrying four pups.” She understood that, Sloan was unaware of the situation.

He hunkered down to touch Londyn’s face, and her big dark grey eyes looked up at him filled with tears .

Everyone here knew that it was, he was asking for a reason. She could still recall the pain, it was fresh, and she was thinking about it. He needed her to actively state it was gone so she and her wolf could let it go.

“It really hurt.” She whispered a hitch still in her voice.

“I know it did. It was not done on purpose.” He told her.

He nodded, but said nothing. Her eyes moved to the rest of the unit. “Do you all know what that means?… She has scented out her Mate.” Her eyes were on Yuri now. “Yuri, we believe it is you.”

“That’s coercion.” Yuri stated right back “I’ve not scented out anyone.”

“I understand that.” She nodded “There is a way to prove it, and we on the council are going to do that now.”

“This will be painful for Londyn but not for you. You realise she just attacked a she-wolf, over you yes? Then screamed in pain when you and that she-wolf were touching each other.”

“You shouldn’t do this to her.” Palmer sighed. “Could make things worse.”

“It’s already at that point. Londyn just saw Yuri leave her to go to the aid of another she-wolf, and read a lot into that. Is currently pulling on her bloodline and has shut herself off. Their mate bond could well be over on her end now.” She looked at Yuri as she spoke, “From my understanding, she didn’t grow up like any of us. Didn’t even know what she was until her wolf burst out of her at 16. So doesn’t truly understand our ways.”

“Mm, Zara told us the other night,” Slade stated “I did warn you about her not growing up inside a pack.”

She could actually see Yuri was thinking now, likely about all the interactions he’d had with Londyn since

being in Greenville, from the very first time he’d laid eyes on her to that moment out there with that she-wolf.
