Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 104

Chapter 104

Chapter 104

“No, we trust Ms. Prescott, someone said.

“Of course Ms. Draven has every right to be here,” another chimed in.

“Yeah, right,” a third person agreed.

Once someone spoke up, the rest quickly joined in. Even those who’d been on the fence snapped back to reality and started thinking fast.

Whether she was Rowan or Rowan’s daughter, she totally had the right to be here. After all, this was her family’s company.

Only Mr. Harrison’s face twisted with fury. “You’re all just a bunch of spineless cowards,” he spat.

“Mr. Harrison, Ms. Draven is here for the meeting. Let’s get back to business,” someone said, with a warning in their tone.

After all, she’s a Draven. If he kept stirring things up, he’d be the one to regret it.

But Mr. Harrison acted like he didn’t get the hint. He turned and fixed a glare on Ella. “Ms. Prescott, you need to get Ms. Draven here ASAP. We can’t just hand the company over to a little girl like her.”

“Mr. Harrison, I’m used to you always disagreeing with me, but today, you’d better know your place,” Ella said, her voice icy. She might enjoy the drama, but she’d never let anyone look down on Ophelia.

Mr. Harrison snorted, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair, a threatening edge in his voice. “Why don’t you just give me Ms. Draven’s number? I’H talk to her myself.”

“You!” Ella snapped, her anger flaring. ‘He’s got some nerve. Does he really think he’s qualified?’ she fumed.

But Ophelia raised a hand to stop her. Ella got the hint, bit back her anger, and passed her phone to Mr. Harrison.

Mr. Harrison scrolled through the contacts, found Rowan’s name, and hit call.

The crisp ringtone rang out in the conference room. Everyone turned toward the sound, and their faces shifted in shock and disbelief.

‘What the…?’ Everyone was stunned.

With a flick of her wrist, Ophelia ended the call.

“The number you have dialed is currently busy…” The automated female voice from Ella’s phone hit them like a bolt of lightning.

The room was so quiet one could hear a pin drop. The answer was clear to everyone.

Everyone stiffly turned their heads, eyes shifting from the phone to Ophelia’s face.

Ophelia’s lips curled into a subtle, barely-there smile, and it sent a shiver through the room.

“Ms. Draven,” someone stammered, nervously swallowing.

‘Who could’ve guessed this little girl was the legendary financial prodigy, Rowan Draven?’ everyone thought, stunned. Right now, plenty of people were secretly grateful they hadn’t questioned Ophelia’s identity out loud, otherwise, they wouldn’ t know how to face her now.

Mr. Harrison just stared at Ophelia, jaw practically hitting the floor. “You’re actually Rowan Draven?”

Ophelia arched an eyebrow, her eyes full of sarcasm. “And what makes you think I couldn’t be Rowan Draven?”

“No way…” Mr. Harrison collapsed into his chair, looking like his soul just left his body.

Ella scoffed, rolling her eyes. “It’s always been like this. Seriously, how clueless can you get? You just love making trouble for yourself.

Ophelia gave Mr. Harrison a cold glance, her tone icy. “Mr. Harrison, I’ll buy your shares at market price. Just go settle it with finance.”

Mr. Harrison flinched, blurting out, “No! I’m not giving up my shares.”
