Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 105

Chapter 105

As soon as she finished, the air in the room turned weirdly tense.

Everyone’s eyes locked onto Mr. Harrison, waiting to see what he’d do next.

Time dragged on, and it got so awkward that people started to wonder if Mr. Harrison was ever going to say anything at all.

At last, Mr. Harrison let out a long, defeated sigh, sounding totally crushed. “Alright, Ms. Draven. If that’s how you want it, I won’t fight it.”

What else could he say at this point?

Ms. Draven was cutting him some slack. He’d get to retire and still pocket his dividends, unless he’d totally lost it, he knew what the smart move was.

“Ella, show Mr. Harrison the door,” Ophelia said, clearly pleased with how quick he was to back down. She didn’t even bother to look at him again.

Mr. Harrison’s arrogance vanished, his face turning a sickly shade. “No need to trouble yourself, Ms. Prescott. I’ll see myself out.”

He didn’t even bother to pick up his files, he knew he’d never need them again.

Ella just curled her lip in a little smirk. Since he refused, she wasn’t about to waste her time seeing him off.

She turned to Ophelia and said in a low voice, “Ms. Draven, we can start the meeting now.”

“Alright, let’s get started,” Ophelia replied, her voice cool and commanding. Even without trying, she radiated a presence that made everyone sit up straight.

“Ella, hand out the previous documents,” Ophelia said, getting straight to business.

“Yes,” Ella replied, quickly passing out the prepared documents to everyone in the room.

“This is the main direction for the company’s development going forward. If anyone has any objections, now’s the time to speak up,” Ophelia said, her voice calm but carrying a weight that made it impossible to ignore.

Just like that, the room settled into the rhythm of a real board meeting…

“Yes!” Ella cheered, her eyebrows raised in triumph as she walked out of the conference room. She was clearly in high spirits.

Ophelia shot Ella a look, half amused, half helpless. “Finally got to vent, huh?”

“Heh, those old guys are a real handful, especially Mr. Harrison. You totally helped me get that frustration off my chest today, Ella said with a grin. ‘I’ve had to play mind games with them for ages just to keep things under control, she thought.

Ophelia’s eyes darkened, a touch of irony in her gaze. “Mr. Harrison didn’t take us seriously just because we’re young and female.”

She could sense it, Mr. Harrison wasn’t clueless. He just automatically looked down on her and Ella because of who they

were.
