Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 120

120.Chapter 120

“Ophelia didn’t just ace the test, she finished way ahead of everyone else. Cheating was literally impossible for her,” someone chimed in.

“Most of us hadn’t even finished when Ophelia turned in her test,” another student added.

“I was only halfway through when she handed hers in,” someone else said, sounding a little awestruck.

The students who took the exam had to admit, Ophelia was playing in a league of her own.

“Wait, did you guys notice?” someone suddenly blurted out, sounding shocked. “Daphne didn’t make the cut!”

“Seriously, she missed it by just one spot,” someone else said with a sigh, feeling a bit sorry for her.

“Just one spot? So if Ophelia had claimed the spot right away, Daphne would’ve made it in,” another person chimed in.’ Without Ophelia, that spot would’ve been Daphne’s for sure, they thought.

The classroom fell silent for a moment, everyone was hit with all kinds of feels.

Talking about backfiring, Daphne totally sabotaged herself. If she hadn’t blocked Ophelia with all that drama, Ophelia could’ ve just signed up for the competition straight away, no prelims needed.

Daphne’s face kept flipping between pale and red, like she’d been punched in the gut and couldn’t breathe. Her chest felt like it was being stomped on, leaving her gasping for air.

“Ophelia, if you were that good, you should’ve just signed up for the competition from the start and let someone else have the spot. What a waste,” Zoe sighed, sounding genuinely regretful.

“Let someone else have it? Or was it just for Daphne? Seriously, you were the ones who told me to give up my spot, and now you’re blaming me for doing exactly what you wanted? Have you got no shame?” Ophelia shot back.

‘Can they even hear themselves right now?’ Ophelia thought, rolling her eyes.

“Ophelia, that’s not what I meant. I just think it would’ve been better if Daphne could’ve joined the competition,” Zoe said, her face pale and looking a bit wronged.

“Then why don’t you drop out? If you quit, Daphne gets your spot,” Ophelia shot back, giving Zoe a mocking look. ‘Go on, prove you’re such a loving sister. Let’s see you actually do it, she thought.

“I…” Zoe bit her lip, her face turning even paler as she stared at Ophelia, totally at a loss for words.

She just wanted to embarrass Ophelia, not give up her own chance.

Ophelia rolled her eyes. ‘Can’t keep pretending, huh, little schemer?’ she thought.

“Ophelia, how can you be so manipulative?” Daphne was practically shaking with rage, her chest heaving as she yelled, “If this is your real score, then you totally played us!

“You had the skills the whole time, but you were just pretending to be weak. You did all this just to humiliate me, didn’t you? Are you satisfied now?”

She just couldn’t accept what had happened. ‘Ophelia totally set me up. She’s such a schemer, Daphne thought, her head spinning, furious and in denial.

“That’s not what happened,” Ruby retorted, not backing down. “Ophelia told you straight up she was qualified, but you refused to believe her.

“You even rallied everyone to protest, so she had no choice but to give up signing up and had to go through the prelims.”

‘Now she’s lost and she’s acting all dramatic? Seriously, what kind of logic is that?’ Ruby thought, rolling her eyes.
