Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 181

181 Chapter 181

181.Chapter 181

“Because you broke the rules,” Jameson Wells said sternly. “Don’t sneak into my office again, and stay out of things that don’t concern you.”

‘Does she think she’s some kind of hall monitor? Always sticking her nose into everything, Jameson thought.

“I don’t think this is fair,” Daphne said, her face clouded with resentment.

She just couldn’t get why she was the one getting punished when it was Ophelia who messed up.

“Ophelia’s leave was personally approved by Mr. Blackwell. If you’ve got a problem with it, take it up with him,” Jameson warned, his tone even sharper. “Or maybe you should just switch classes.”

He was honestly just done with having a student like her in his class. It was exhausting.

“Mr. Blackwell…” Daphne started to say, but she was so shocked she couldn’t even get the words out.

‘Wait, Ophelia can just go straight to Mr. Blackwell and ask for leave? Daphne thought, totally floored.

‘And she just ups and leaves for a whole week, and Mr. Blackwell actually says yes?’ Daphne couldn’t believe it.

“Daphne, don’t stress. I’ve got your back,” Zoe whispered, trying to reassure her.

Daphne slowly came back to her senses, her heart thudding nervously.

‘Did Jameson just tell me to leave the advanced class?’ Daphne thought, panic creeping in.

Clenching her jaw, Daphne could only swallow her frustration and mutter, “All right, Jameson. I get it.”

“Sit down,” Jameson said, shaking his head with a sigh before leaving the classroom.

Daphne glared at Ophelia, gritting her teeth in frustration. ‘Seriously, what did Ophelia do to get Declan’s attention, and why would Mr. Blackwell personally sign off on her leave? What makes her so special?’ Daphne couldn’t help but stew inside.

Ophelia didn’t even need to say anything. Her icy stare alone made Daphne feel small.

Daphne shivered. ‘How could just that look from her make my back go cold?’ she thought.

When Daphne glanced over again, Ophelia had already looked away.

Daphne glared at Ophelia, then muttered, “Guess I was just seeing things.”

Just before school let out.

“Hey Ophelia, someone’s here for you!” called a classmate from the doorway. Ophelia paused, a little puzzled. Who would be looking for her at this hour?

She got up and headed to the door, only to find Declan waiting for her.

“You’re back,” Declan said, a mix of emotions flickering across his face as he looked at Ophelia.

He couldn’t quite figure out what he’d been feeling these past few days. He was still surprised she’d skipped school entirely. He’d dropped off study materials for her every day, but it didn’t look like she’d used any of them. He had no idea how she’d do in the competition tomorrow.
