Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 183

183 Chapter 183

183.Chapter 183

“Daphne, you just told Ophelia to stop chasing after Declan, but she didn’t seem to agree. What if Felicity comes back and finds out about Declan and Ophelia…” Zoe’s face was full of worry, her cheeks going even paler.

It was like she was really afraid someone would get hurt.

“Oh please, Declan and Felicity have been in the same class since grade school all the way to college. They’re childhood sweethearts. Do you think Ophelia could ever come between them?”

Daphne scoffed, looking smug. Just wait. When Felicity comes back, Ophelia will be the one crying.”

“I just hope Ophelia wakes up soon, Zoe sighed, her voice tinged with regret.

Daphne shot Zoe a look of pure disdain. “Seriously, can’t you use your brain? Still sticking up for Ophelia? No wonder you get bullied by her.”

“I…” Zoe bit her lip, looking hurt and holding back her words.

“Whatever, just clean this up. I’ve got stuff to do, Daphne ordered, slinging her backpack over her shoulder and strutting off.

Zoe was left standing there, totally shell-shocked, her mind blank.

“Wasn’t I here to help her? Zoe wondered, feeling completely lost.

‘Did she seriously just leave? Zoe stared after Daphne, dumbfounded.

Wait, what just happened? How is this even fair? Zoe thought, her frustration mounting.

“Daphne… Daphne?” Zoe hurried after her, calling her name, but Daphne didn’t even spare her a glance.

Zoe’s face was flushed with anger; she was so mad she could barely breathe.

“Why does everyone treat me like this? Why am I always the one getting bullied?’ Zoe fumed, feeling completely helpless.

Zoe slammed the broom down on the floor, her voice shaking with rage. “Daphne, if you weren’t the only one who could handle Ophelia, you think I’d even bother talking to you?”

But throwing a fit wouldn’t change anything. Daphne was already gone. All Zoe could do was grumble under her breath, pick up the broom, and sweep the floor with a look of utter defeat.

‘Just wait. Once I’m Mrs. Caldwell, I’ll settle the score with every last one of you, Zoe vowed, her eyes burning with resolve.

The next day.

The competition was a breeze for Ophelia. She finished her paper in no time and walked out of the exam room.

“Boss!” Ella waved her arms wildly, practically bouncing with excitement as she called out to Ophelia.

Ophelia walked over to Ella, raising an eyebrow with a playful smile. “You’re here early.”

“Of course! I know better than anyone how amazing you are, Boss. Competitions like this are a piece of cake for you,” Ella said, puffing out her chest with pride.

Ophelia gave Ella a playful look, unable to hold back a laugh. “Alright, let’s get moving.”

“Roger that!” Ella swung open the car door and gave a dramatic ninety-degree bow. “Your chariot awaits, Boss.”

Ophelia shook her head, still smiling as she climbed in, then shot Ella a glance. “Everything prepped?”

“All set.” Ella handed Ophelia a file with a grin. “Everything you need is right here.”

Ophelia flipped open the file, listening as Ella explained, “The Rogers Group is in a tight spot and hoping for our help. If we invest, they’re offering us ten profit points.”

“Ten profit points?” Ophelia’s brows knitted, her tone turning serious.
