Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 248

Chapter 248

Chapter 248

She knew these people were out to mess with Ophelia, so she wasn’t about to play nice with them.

“You must be Ophelia, right?” A cheerful voice suddenly called out.

Ophelia turned around and saw a girl in front of her, pretty, looked approachable, and her smile was warm and inviting. ‘The way she just used my name like we’re old friends…This must be Felicity, Ophelia thought.

Ophelia nodded calmly. “You’re Felicity.”

“Wow, you actually recognize me!” Felicity said, looking genuinely pleased.

“Yeah, Daphne talks about you all the time,” Ophelia replied, sounding relaxed, as if they’d known each other forever.

Felicity’s eyes lit up. “Really? What does she say about me?”

“Oh, she says you and Declan are childhood sweethearts, totally meant for each other. She keeps saying I’m in trouble now that you’re back…” Ophelia listed everything Daphne had said, looking so serious, like she didn’t want to leave anything out.

Felicity’s face went ghostly pale in an instant, and she cut in sharply, “Ophelia, stop!”

But just as quickly, Felicity forced a smile, looking a bit embarrassed. “Don’t mind her, nothing’s official between me and Declan.”

Ophelia raised an eyebrow, thinking to herself, ‘She might as well announce it with a megaphone. So it’s all true, huh!’

“Oh, so it was all just rumors?” Ophelia said, sounding totally uninterested. “Daphne always swears up and down it’s real, so I actually thought it was true.”

Felicity’s smile was barely holding it together, her face looking more and more awkward by the second.

“Heh, yeah, sure,” Felicity said, her smile painfully stiff.

She hadn’t expected Ophelia to just ignore all the usual small talk and go straight for the jugular, it totally threw her off, and for a moment, she was at a complete loss.

Her whole thing with Declan was just wishful thinking, nothing was ever set in stone, and there was no way she could just announce it in public like this.

But Ophelia just put it all out there without a care, and it made Felicity want to explode.

Seeing Felicity’s smile nearly crack, Ophelia hid the cold glint in her eyes.

After what happened at the Rowle Manor yesterday, there was no way Felicity was actually here to make peace.

Ophelia wasn’t fooled for a second, Felicity was a high-level two-faced bitch, practically a pro at faking innocence.

That whole ‘caring big sister’ vibe? All fake nice. Every smile was a calculated move.

“If you’ll excuse me, Ella, I need to use the restroom,” Ophelia said, giving Ella a polite nod before walking off, head held high.

She’d had enough of Felicity’s ‘sweet sister’ routine and couldn’t be bothered to stick around for another second.

Once Ophelia left, Felicity’s smile disappeared in an instant. She exchanged a quick glance with the socialites around her, and they immediately got the hint, following Ophelia out.

‘Ophelia, you embarrassed me in front of everyone? Just wait, I’ll make sure you regret it,’ Felicity fumed inwardly.

‘Still trying to get close to Declan? Let’s see if you dare mess with him after tonight!’ Felicity thought with a

sneer.
