Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 249

Chapter 249

Chapter 249

Ophelia rolled her eyes in exasperation and called out, “I know you’re out there. Open the door right now, and ! won’t bother settling scores over what happened today.”

After a brief silence, someone outside snickered, “Well, look at you, caught and helpless, but still running your mouth?”

“Yeah, we’d love to see how you plan to get back at us,” another voice mocked.

The group of heiresses jeered at her, acting like they were untouchable.

“So you’re really set on messing with me?” Ophelia’s voice turned cold, her presence practically radiating through the door.

The girls hesitated for a second, then shrugged it off. “She’s locked in there. There’s nothing to be scared of.” “Let’s just keep her in there overnight and see if she’ll learn her lesson,” one of them sneered.

Ophelia had lost all patience. She hiked up her skirt, broke off the heel of her stilettos, then swung her leg and slammed it into the door.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Kick after kick, relentless.

Finally, with a thunderous crack, the door burst open.

Ophelia stepped out, her gaze icy and unforgiving as she stared down the group.

The girls went pale, their legs trembling uncontrollably.

“W-What the hell just happened?” one of them stammered.

Anyone else would’ve been bawling their eyes out and begging for mercy by now.

‘Did she seriously just kick the door down?’ they thought, completely stunned.

Ophelia gave them a cold, hard look, her voice icy as she asked, “Did Felicity put you up to this?”

“W-We…” None of the girls dared to speak up or admit anything.

They might be Felicity’s usual lackeys, but when push came to shove, none of them had the guts to throw her under the bus.

“Not talking, huh?” Ophelia smirked coldly, then hauled one of the girls and shoved her straight into the bathroom.

“Ah!” The girl barely had time to recover before Ophelia grabbed the rest and tossed them in one after another. With a slam, Ophelia shut the door and snapped off the lights with a sharp click.

The bathroom was instantly pitch black, and screams rang out from inside.

“Ah! We’re sorry, please let us out! We swear we’ll never do it again!” one of them wailed, panic thick in her

voice.

“So, who’s behind this? Tell me now, or you can all spend the night in there,” Ophelia said, her voice eerily calm, but every word dripped with menace.

Inside, the girls were shaking like leaves, bawling and begging for mercy.

Finally, one of them cracked and shouted, “It was Felicity! She made us do it!”

She was scared out of her mind, and she just knew Ophelia would totally leave them locked up till morning.

Ophelia wasn’t the least bit surprised by the answer.

From the moment Felicity came over acting all friendly, Ophelia had already caught the darkness lurking in her eyes. Felicity hated her.

So when trouble hit, Felicity was the first name that popped into her head.

Chapter 249

“Ophelia, what are you doing?” Felicity strolled over, acting like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth, no trace of guilt anywhere.

Ophelia shot her a look, totally unapologetic. “Teaching them a lesson. Isn’t it obvious?”

“Ophelia, I mean, why are you being so harsh with them?” Felicity put on her best big-sister act, her voice all soft and gentle.

“Oh, they said you were the one who told them to lock me in, so I figured I’d just give them a taste of their own medicine,” Ophelia said, swinging open the bathroom door and letting the girls out.

The girls stumbled out, looking a mess, glancing at Ophelia in terror.

They’d never met anyone like her, she looked sweet and fragile, but when it came down to it, she was ruthless and sharp, all action and no nonsense.

They all scrambled behind Felicity, too scared to even meet Ophelia’s eyes.

Felicity cursed the girls for being useless in her mind, but kept her sweet smile firmly in place. “Maybe it’s all just a misunderstanding.”

“A misunderstanding?” Ophelia’s lips curled into a mocking smile. ‘This fake innocent really has some guts, she thought.

“Of course I wouldn’t tell them to lock you up. I just thought you weren’t familiar with this place, so I asked them to stick around in case you needed anything,” Felicity said, shaking her head with a look of regret.
