Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 251

Chapter 251

Chapter 251

If he hadn’t realized she’d been missing for so long and come searching for her, he never would’ve known she’d been cornered here. These people really had guts, daring to mess with his people.

“Mr. Caldwell, it really was just a misunderstanding. We’ve been hanging around here for a while, and my dad’s probably wondering where I am.

“I don’t want to bother you and Ophelia any longer, so I’ll just head out,” Felicity said, her voice a little shaky as she tried to come up with an excuse to get out of there.

The others jumped in right away, “Yeah, guess our folks are probably looking for us too. We’ll get going.”

Alaric shot a look at Ophelia, who had a cold, sarcastic smile on her lips. Her words dripped with irony as she said, “Leaving already? Weren’t you just calling it a misunderstanding? So you’re just gonna bail without clearing things up?”

The group felt a jolt of panic. They glanced at each other, froze mid-step, and awkwardly shuffled back, realizing they couldn’t just walk away.

Felicity was burning with resentment inside, but she knew this was definitely not the time to lose her cool.

Gritting her teeth, Felicity forced a remorseful smile and said, “Ophelia, we’ve already explained everything. But if you’re still upset, I’m sincerely sorry. Can’t you just let it slide, since we’re all Rowles?”

Ophelia raised an eyebrow. ‘Now that’s some real verbal gymnastics,’ she thought, amused by Felicity’s way with words.

Felicity sounded all apologetic, but her words were totally passive-aggressive, making Ophelia look like the unreasonable, cold-hearted one who just used her power to bully others.

“Well then…” Ophelia crossed her arms, her eyes full of expectation as she looked at Felicity. “Let’s hear your apology. If you really mean it, I’ll let it go.”

‘Isn’t she always playing the victim?’ Ophelia thought to herself. ‘Alright, let’s see how good you are at faking it.’ “A-apologize?” Felicity was stunned. She thought she’d already smoothed things over, but Ophelia still wanted her to actually say sorry?

Ophelia nodded, giving her an innocent look. “Yeah, wasn’t that what you just offered?”

“I…” Felicity was totally stumped.

She was the one who brought it up, but wasn’t Ophelia supposed to just let it slide and let them leave?

‘Why is Ophelia not following the script at all?’ Felicity fumed inwardly.

“Or maybe your dads could come here and apologize instead?” Alaric’s voice was cold as ice, sending a chill through everyone and making them flinch.

“No, that’s not necessary,” the girls blurted out, shaking their heads in unison.

Yeah, they liked to mess with people they didn’t like, but they’d never let their families know about it. If their parents found out, they’d totally get chewed out at home.

Felicity bit down hard on her lip, frustrated, but she knew there was no way she could drag her family into this.

Sure, this was just a small thing today, but if this turned into a big deal and Grandpa found out, especially since he always had Ophelia’s back these days, she’d be the one taking the fall, no doubt. “Ophelia, I’m honestly sorry. Can you just let it go?” Felicity said, clearly reluctant but with no other choice.

“Yeah, it was our fault today,” the others echoed, each mumbling their apology, not daring to look up.

Ophelia gave a satisfied nod, her tone generous but a little smug. “Alright, since you all apologized, I’ll forgive you this time.”

Felicity was so furious she felt like she could cough up blood from sheer frustration. She was about to explode inside.

Chapter 251

She’d wanted to put Ophelia in her place, but now they were the ones forced to apologize, while Ophelia was smugly basking in her victory. Felicity could barely hold back her rage, it was like Ophelia was stabbing her right in the heart.

“Are you not leaving yet?” Alaric’s gaze was icy cold, his voice sharp and unforgiving.

“Uh… we’re leaving,” Felicity said, shooting Ophelia a resentful look before quickly gathering her friends and making a hasty exit.

Ophelia’s lips curled into a cold, mocking smirk. Felicity’s face was dark with anger, she’d totally dropped the whole caring big sister act. ‘Ha, guess she’s done pretending to be all sweet and considerate, Ophelia thought, feeling pretty satisfied.
