Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 277

Chapter 277

Chapter 277

After leaving, Ophelia headed straight for New City Tower.

As soon as she walked into her office, Ella came over with a long face. “Boss, I’m starting to think your grandpa shipped your uncles overseas because he just couldn’t stand them anymore.”

“What happened?” Ophelia asked, curious. She sat down and looked up at Ella.

Ella let out a sigh. “I’ve turned them down so many times, but they just won’t give up. This time, it’s even worse. They actually had the nerve to promise they’d come up with the perfect proposal and begged us to give them a chance.”

“A chance?” Ophelia raised an eyebrow, her tone curious. “What kind of chance are we talking about?”

“They want a fair competition,” Ella replied, shaking her head with a look of pure annoyance. “Since we’re all part of the Rowle Group, they think it’s unfair for us to only work with HQ.

“They want us to let them compete against the main office, no favoritism. If they lose, they’ll admit defeat, no complaints.”

Ophelia’s gaze sharpened for a moment, a flicker of realization crossing her eyes. ‘So that’s what they’re after, she thought.

After a moment’s thought, Ophelia nodded, her voice steady and decisive. “Fine. Give them what they want.”

“We really shouldn’t give them a chance… Wait, what?” Ella blinked, caught off guard. “Wait, you’re actually saying yes? Why?”

“You said they were getting on your nerves, right? So let them try, maybe they’ll finally stop pestering you,” Ophelia replied with a casual shrug, not bothered at all.

“So we’re really letting them compete? Do you think they can even handle it?” Ella asked, still sounding unsure.

“That’s the thing, they can’t. So there’s nothing for us to worry about,” Ophelia said, a faint smirk on her lips. ‘ Given my uncles’ track record, there’s no way they could ever beat my brother, she thought.

Ella finally got it and nodded. “Yeah, makes sense.”

“Oh, finally! Maybe I can actually get some peace and quiet for a few days. I swear, they’re about to drive me insane,” Ella snarked, pursing her lips. “If they put half that persistence into something useful, they’d probably be millionaires by now.”

“Some people just never know their own limits,” Ophelia shrugged, waving her hand like she couldn’t care less.” You take care of it, I don’t want to bother with this.”

Honestly, she didn’t even want to waste another breath talking about her uncles.

“Alright, I’m on it!” Ella replied, spinning around and hurrying out of the office, clearly in a rush to get it done.

Ophelia frowned, thinking to herself, ‘So Zoe’s been watching Oliver lately. Is she trying to snag his ideas?’

‘Is she actually helping Asher out now?’ Ophelia wondered, suspicion creeping in.

‘Why would she do that? What’s she getting out of it?’ Ophelia mused, her eyes narrowing.

Her gaze grew colder, and a chill seemed to settle over the room.

“Zoe, if that’s really what you’re up to, don’t blame me for not tolerating you,” Ophelia said, her voice icy and sharp.

‘Anyone who dares hurt my family or the people I care about… I won’t show them any mercy. Ophelia thought, her resolve icy and unyielding.

Three days flew by in the blink of an eye.

Neon lights sparkled across the night, making everything feel almost magical.

The Rowle Group’s anniversary party arrived right on schedule and was already in full swing, with all the top business figures from Dunhollow showing up. The place was buzzing lively and grand.
